Nope not really. The majority of the money they get is from people mainly interested in sc mmo only. Not Sq42.
Most backers won't miss Sq42 not being released
Oh come on jonney. You know SQ42 will be out before SC is out of beta. Out of Alpha even

I could not give 2 figs about most players (though it's possible you may be surprised about the original hardcore backers who jumped on day one. most people I know just wanted a new wing commander or privateer ). I will play SC *despite* it being an MMO but it was S42 which made me open my wallet. without that I would not have bothered. I may not be the majority.... but I can't be the only one (well.. I know I am not!)Most backers won't miss Sq42 not being released
He also said he knew they were on track still literally the sentence after. It's like taking half a paragraph to make sensational news piece.![]()
Star Citizen fans sigh deeply, rub their foreheads as developer casts doubt on Squadron 42's 2026 release: 'I don't know if we're going to make it'
Jared Huckaby clarified that he didn't mean to suggest that Squadron 42 will be delayed out of 2026, he just literally doesn't know what the future holds for any of us.www.pcgamer.com

well if you have played this for 14 years clocking say average 20h a week, i would say a perosn who spent 10k has got there money's worth.Oh and will say, "I have been playing for 14 years now, well worth the £10,000 i spent"![]()

Approx £83.33 per month for 80h of entertainment.
A lot of games cost nearly that about nowadays for a 40-60h playthrough.
