What film did you watch last night?

The final Mission Impossible. Avoid at all costs, it's not a film, it's a simple set of action sequences with no real rhyme nor reason for existing in and out of the context they do other than to make the film 'special'.

What is special is that it's even considered a film, this should have been a stunt crew advertisement.

Weapons 6 / 10
This started really well but then fell away quite sharply halfway through. I was hoping for a SciFi slant but it went the other way.

F1 - 6/10 - Brain off, volume up! Brad Pitt was decent and the supporting cast did their bit. I liked how Magnusson was portrayed too!

Superman - 7/10 - Really enjoyed it. Much better than I was expecting. The tone was much softer that Snyder's and it had a heart. Gets an extra point for Krypto!

The previous one is miles better. The train finale is better than anything in the last film. It’s also follows a decent rhythm. The pacing of the final one is all over the shop.

I felt like I'd just been hit over and over again with epic scene after another and I just couldn't catch a second to process what was going on. It was probably the worst thing I've seen in years and it's the first time I've posted in years on here to rant about a film.

Odd considering I'm a huge MI fan and enjoy them for how silly yet enjoyable they can be. But the last one, wow, what a pile of ****.

The Roses.

I didn't enjoy it. It felt awkward, and not for the reasons I think it was intended to be awkward. I think a lot of the black humour fell flat on its face, and ultimately, it was billed as a comedy, but I found the whole thing very very sad.

Superman 2025
Only the dog redeemed it to any extent. Christopher Reeve would be spinning in his grave if he saw this nonsense.

Mate.

South Park had the right idea with that dog.
