Gran Turismo 7

Looking forward to when Sophy is integrated into the campaign (probably when GT8 hits I’m betting) it’ll make races much more interesting. I just hope they give the option to turn off the beeps/weird noises and the emoji’s

Had read reports of last weeks update affecting force feedback in Sport mode for steering wheels, unfortunately it was still happening when I had a few races earlier.

i am in the process of looking at getting a wheel and pedals. This is going to be my first vewnture into getting a wheel having used controller on GT7 for the last x years. In fact I have played every version of GT from PS1 up to GT7 and never used a wheel, but now that I am getting into it a lot more I think I ma starting to reach the limitations of what I can do with a controller especially in sport mode. Been stuck at DR-C for weeks and mostly its because i don't have enough fine control on braking and it's proper hard to trail brake with a controller as the delta between full on and off is such little movement in the button.

have narrowed it down to either Thrustmaster t598 or fanatec dd pro (8nm version). Have read lots of reviews that basically say go fanatec all day long because ecosystem is better etc, however its a significant price difference between them (also don't like the idea that fanatex basically want an extra 100 notes for a different power brick to go from 5 to 8nm, sseems excessive TBH. Fanatec i know you can get loadcell brake pedal for which I don't think TM have any offerings for yet on the T598, but considering this is my first wheel and pedal set do i really need loadcell ?. Not really intersted in the G29 from logitech as I have seen one of those in action and tried one out but the gearing system for the forcefeedback feels wierd.

Ideall looking at DD forcefeedback rather than belt or gear based ones.

Looking for some opinions from anyone that has tried them or owns them right now so I can get an idea of what they are like.

I'm in the same predicament at the moment and despite me not being a Fanatec fan by any means I think the best option is to stump up the extra for them over Thrustmaster. Could be my old age but the aesthetic and feel of the Thrustmaster line just lacks that more grown up polished feel for myself but judging by reviews the T598 is a fantastic offering for the price. They do offer a load cell but that would be bought extra - if you're just getting setup the normal pedals will suffice I'm sure I've read somewhere that all of the World Tour drivers use normal pedals as this is what they use on stage so clearly they're not too shabby!

@wildman it's possible to buy a 3rd party power supply for the Fanatec wheel to unlock 8nm.

I was in the same predicament earlier this year and for the money the Thrustmaster T598 was brilliant value at £450, but at the time it was a Curry's exclusive and out of stock. I looked at the Fanatec, a lot of YouTube streamers use them, they do get good reviews but I also read a lot of negative reports of bad customer service even after the Corsair buyout so after weeks of indecision I went for the Logitech G Pro wheel and pedals. They were a big upgrade from the Logitech G923 I had previously. I've removed the clutch as it wasn't needed and spaced the pedals evenly. The force feedback is brilliant, lovely and clean compared to the G923.

Yeah, 50% off is the most I’ve ever seen for GT7. The discount tends to alternate between the standard & deluxe editions for each sale ( usuallly both aren’t on sale simultaneously).

Managed to get my G27 working on PS4 with this using a Cronus Zen. Any recommendations for settings for the G27/G29? Looking across the internet, most reocmmendations conflict with one another. The feeling out of the box is a little weak, but it's been years since I used the G27 and about 6 months since I played GT7. Appreciate any pointers from other users of similar Logitech wheels.

I can’t mention where but the Thrustmaster T-GT II is very cheap at the moment, for those wanting a wheel. I was tempted but I don’t think i can commit to the time of transitioning from a controller!
