*** The Official iPhone 17 thread (it has new camera bumps and everything!) ***

I thought I would need a new charging dock but my MagSafe Duo charger fits the 17 pro far better than my previous phones. Really happy with this.
 
Just arrived. Too late for an eSIM transfer. The courier was sweating out and saying his can broke down and he had to change vans!
 
My phone arrived earlier but my case hasn't shown up yet, supposed to come before 9. Bet it comes tomorrow when I'm at the football.
 
Decided to cancel my order for a 17 Pro in Deep Blue after visiting the apple store (Humac) here in Copenhagen earlier, display model scratched already! Think I'll wait for some communication or resolution to that before buying.

Still can’t setup my phone without Verification Failed, unknown error.

I have gone through umpteen resets which it has automatically requested.

Even changed password.

Are you using your phone number or email? I had same problem when using phone number, switched to email and it worked

Using email, tried transfer from phone and from iCloud backup.

Both going round in circles.

What was scratched? The glass, aluminium or both?
 
Jeez the design really is awful looking, might as well just make the entire phone fatter with a larger battey, imagine how many days life you would get from that >1.3cm thickness phone, 230g would likley add 30-40g but properly worth it for max users

Both, but mostly the glass panel. A little around the camera bump as well but nowhere near as bad as the glass. It may be alright with a case on full time and this has presumably been handled a lot today, but I think I'll just wait to see what the news is over the next few weeks to see if it's a widespread issue (at least with the darker colour) and if there's any Apple response.

I'm not in too much of a rush and I'm headed back to Jersey in a few weeks where it's around £200 cheaper for me to buy (9999 DKK vs £962) so works out okay for me in the end.

You should go to Guernsey instead it’s a further 5% cheaper due to no GST there. Also make sure they have stock when you visit.
