Borderlands 4 (2025)

I'm 29 hours in and yet to have a single crash. My co-op partners have been having loads though.
Are you using a 5090 ? Are your co-op partners ? Does seem like the 5090 is particularly susceptible to issues, probably because of its power usage.

Really enjoying this, and I've not had any stability issues so far playing on a Legion 7 with mobile 5080, seems to run fine to me at 4k plugged into my TV but have not benchmarked it at all.

Making slow progress as the amount of side content is significant, and the quests feel worth doing even if they boil down to 'fetch this, kill that' as the dialogue is worth following and there are enough unique spins to make it interesting. The map seems to be huge, its going to take me quite a while to get through it!

Shotguns all the way for me, they seem to have crazy range and do insane damage up close, I picked Rafa as my vault hunter and even on hard it seems relatively easy and I'm I pretty average gamer I would say.

How do you actually get your rewards for the shift keys? Remember in borderlands 3 you had to get back on the ship.

How Do I Use These Gold Keys In Borderlands 4 INFO

All Gold Keys in all Borderlands titles, including Borderlands 4, are used to open big gold chests that can be found in the hub areas of the various games. These chests have a high chance of dropping really good loot, including rare legendary guns and gear. In Borderlands 4, there are actually a few gold chests located at various safehouses and other points of interest, but be aware you can’t open a Gold chest until you unlock the Outbounder’s village near the starting area of the game in the Fadefields.

19 hours in and no crashes on a 5090.
Long may it continue ; you're a rarity with a 5090 and zero crashes. But then, I was in a similar position at around the 20 hour mark, then it all went downhill. Is this just a case of winning the silicon lottery ?

Spoke too soon

Reducing the RAM to 6000mhz reduced the crash frequency, but it just happened again this morning.
Some people have reported that disabling EXPO / XMP has reduced crash frequency, but I'm not convinced there is a singular "fix" that the user can perform. Sometimes I can go an hour or two with no crashes, then I can have 3 in a matter of minutes. And only with this game.

Sounds to me that because the game is so demanding the extra stress is finding instability in systems. Plus the general bugs in the game wont help. What a lovely combination.
Had one crash in about 20 hours. Really enjoying.

Experimented with different undervolts on my 5090 and managed to play BL4 for several hours today with no crashes. As you say, this game is likely very demanding which unmasks other problems very quickly. For anyone else in the same boat I've settled on 2800Mhz at 0.9mV. Running the GPU at stock resulted in frequent crashes ( in BL4 ) for me.

i guess my keyboard might be screwed, spilled a fair bit of beer into it, a apex7 steelseries, already had a knackered key on it so meh.

i sprayed de ionised water all over it after unplugging it i will let it dry then bath the affected area in ipa then let it dry and see what happens, i blame this game :P

good luck would have it i had a spare mionix zibal 60 sitting around that has had far worse spilled on it over the long years i have had it and works perfect plus dad says he has some spare corsair keyboards, only reason i got the apex 7 was coz a kitten ripped a key cap off this board along with part of the switch, super glue fixed it :P lol

You should always set anisotropic filtering to x16, that might be causing the dotty edges.
