just back from Downton Abbey, the grand finale , 3/10.
Not really my cup of tea, my mum and sister asked me if I wanted to see it, to which I bluntly said no, I don't want to actually "see" it, so they changed their tack and asked if I would accompany them, to which I said alright.
It was mainly aboutwatch the handing down of the place to the next generation, with a bit of documenting how standards and conventions were starting to change, concerning homo sexuality, and divorce, also treating people of the lower classes with dignity and respect
Watched the film prior to this one with my mum the night before, which was a good idea, because I probably would have been a lot more lost watching it than I was.
had a really great sleep during the middle, then watched the end, which was alright, a little funny even
My mum and sister loved it because they had already watched the series, and it was a nice tie-up for them, but it was almost totally lost on me. Luckily, they had already killed off Maggie Smith in the film before this one, so there was no awkward plot explaining why she wasn't around(the film was dedicated to her, though)
3/10 from me; this would probably rise to a 6/10 if one were really into the series already
worth it for the sleep!
