Games you're playing, and games...

Same. Nothing for me. Got some home alone time this weekend so may look for a mindless shooter on GP to occupy me for a few hours. Not touched Ready or Not much despite how much I was looking forward to it. It's kind of dull and super intense at the same time - even if that makes no sense.
May get BF6 this month really like the look of the campaign if nothing else. Ninja Gaiden 4 later this month too. Absolutely loved the first two, binned no 3 after 30 minutes so hoping its more like the former. Think its coming to gamepass although my sub runs out some time in Oct so may have to extend for an additional month.

Ghost of Yotei. Couple of hours in. Looks incredible with ray tracing and 60 on the Pro. Love it.

I plan to get this eventually, but burnt out a bit with the theme having just done a replay of Tsushima to get the platinum. Apart from the main protagonist and story, what jumps out at you for being new to Yotei, seen a lot of similar elements to Tsushima so far, but just fine tuned.

Started Yotei too. Feels like a natural evolution from Tsushima. Again lots of refinements to it and it still looks and plays very well. Story is different but not actually that different when playing through in the moment. There's a looming big bad and lots of littler baddies to stabby stab in side quests.

On base PS5 it looks good enough in performance mode. Ray tracing mode doesn't add much to my eyes unless you're standing still just staring at the water and shadows.

Currently playing through PS3 Silent Hill Downpour on my mini pc. Enough power to get it running better than the original and i honestly think its a bit underrated (But it was plagues with performance issues on release).

It’s familiar but also new. I am a massive fan of the original. There are shrines and foxes and all of that and the story so far is great. I’ve not played GoT for a couple of years after platinuming (I don’t think that’s a word) it so I’m excited to jump back in to the world. It’s basically Ghost of Tsushima with a new protagonist, world and story with added refinements. No bad thing in my book. The first game was a beauty but this is just wow at times. Playing it in Japanese with English subtitles for that extra Samurai movie feel as I always do if available.

Just started Dying Light: The Beast

I’m one of the seemingly few who preferred the second game to the first so I’m enjoying what really feels like more of the same. It must be said though that the protagonist feels like someone straight out of a late 90’s fps

Got a few hours into ghost of yotei last night and really enjoying it so far. The world doesn't seem very believable as in the way things and people are dotted about but seems fun anyway.

It gets better in that element as you progress through. I felt the same with the beginning few hours, the opening areas were just a bit 'deliberate' with people and places.

Im very glad to here that, seems a bit silly the way people are dotted about in this first area like a very old fashioned open world game.

The starting area is more of an intro for you to explore and upgrade stuff - lots of memories for backstory. Really opens up when you progress to the next area. There is a lot more going on.

That's really good to hear, I never played the first game so I wasn't really sure what to expect.
Look forward to playing it tonight, think I've done most things in this opening area.

I did everything that I could do/find before progressing through the northern gate. I’ve probably missed stuff and will go back there eventually.

My plans of ghost of yotei got wrecked last night by a power cut. So I played fast fusion on the switch till it died, cracking game. Then started red matter 2 on quest 3 till it died, not amazed by it so far.

But power has been restored so hopefully finish split fiction with my daughters today, what a game that has been, then yotei when they are asleep.

Have you played Red Matter 1? Have heard great things about Red Matter 2, surprised you're not amazed by it.

No i havnt played the first but I've herd the second is great.
To be fair to it I didn't get very far in before my battery ran out, nothing amazed me but I certainly would write it off on the little bit I played.
