——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

The only scare I had was on first launch it said I did not have secure boot turned on, even though in the BIOS it shows on..... Turns out the BIOS showing it as on is a red herring, you have to turn it off then on again for it to actually be on.

Gigabyte UEFI scenes.

Man this feels a lot different than the beta, movement has defo changed and mouse speed, im getting my butt kicked lol seems slower all round, but man its smooth.

Never drop under 124fps all on high settings with NO frame gen with my 5800x3d and standard 4070, sometimes going to 150fps on some maps in areas, loving the game but im not as good as i was on the beta.

Going to take a while to get used to it all lol

Took me a couple of rounds to get the feel back. I dont feel like its slower, if it is its fractional at most. I do find movement feeling more "fluid" than beta for want of a better word. I forgot how bad the mouse feel was out of the box, Slow unresponsive and muddy. Tweek them mouse settings baby, please for the love of god turn off uniform infantry aiming. I dont know what they were thinking of with that. Feels terrible!

Will try turning that off, if i can find it in the horrible menus lol

Thanks

Bar one crash that was a perfect day one launch. No delays getting into games, balance was good, some really close games. Performs well.

Worth the wait, and dare I say... the hype.

Just had my best game so far, thanks @steve45 for the mouse tips, just came 3rd after starting off what i thought was going to be another terrible game lol captured 12 points and had over 20 kills.

Still need to fine tune the mouse but its much better than it was after a little bit of tweaking, my team still lost but hey, things are getting better.

Cant wait for some more fun in the morning.

Waited, bought on Steam, installed, got into a game within 30 seconds. I was terrible. But can't blame the game, EA obviously messed up on their EA end but Steam working fine.

I've hit 40 and dont think I could hit a barn door with a bazooka!

Running at 120+ fps on my 5080. 4k, Overkill settings (barring Texture Quality which is on Ultra), DLAA & 2x FG.

Never thought I'd end up using DLAA with this game but to be fully GPU limited it's the most sensible option. Looks nice too.

So happy with this card. Running maxed out it never even goes above 56c. My 3090 used to run at 78-79c so my room is so much cooler now :D.

I am loving this, took 2 sessions today to get used to the movement and now it's just great.

had a good run just now, played with randoms but teamwork made the dreamwork etc.

I tried some FG too and yeah I can notice some input latency introduced, it's minor but it's noticeable vs having just DLSS and no FG which is feeling like it is as responsive as the OLED pixels are lol. This may well be the only modern game where the mouse reacts so instantly and so smoothly it's quite eerie whatever they did to get it like this.

Still low ranked but I cans ee myself ranking up fairly quickly to get the better weapons. Engineer is fast becoming my fav class too lol.
