——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

These Games are really what you make them, I changed up my play style yesterday and had such a good time.

Playing as Support using the LMG (Which absolutely shreds by the way) tactically using deployable cover and attaching to it for pure laser beams! Multiple Quad Kills preventing the enemy team from progressing forward, I was doing this from above and it was so satisfying.

Usually I stick to Assault Rifles but the LMG felt really strong in the right circumstances.

how do you turn the vehicle radio / music on in multiplayer like you used to be able to do in Battlefield Vietnam? I can drive a vehicle, find the menu to see need ammo etc, and there's an option for radio, but when I highlight it and then let go of the button, the radio doesn't seem to start. Is it not working yet or is it me?

PSA: I had some unclaimed promo items in the mailbox but no unread messages icon.

Maybe a bug for me, but make sure you check messages and claim everything!

Managed to pick up a relatively cheap key from a mate who got one when buying a new Intel CPU.

While it’s better than 2042 was at launch (what wasn’t), I’m not understanding the hype around it. It’s a fairly average FPS game that looks nice with good performance.

I think there is a lot of love for BF3 and BF4 and its a return to that setting - 2042 seemed very much like a wrong turn and I think the player base is just happy to see the series back in the direction that they wanted.

I enjoyed the Beta and I guess lots of other players did too. Probably a sad indication that a functional decent game is all it takes to gain this much excitement - we're too used to things being rubbish!

Cheers, installing now...although performance was already absolutely fine at 1440p Ultra on my 7800xt (not using upscaling or FG) with the previous drivers.

Played until far too late last night, Battlefield is certainly back! Changes since the beta have all been positive, they just need to sort the awful UI for settings and menus.

Np no idea what the drivers have done at all, but hopefully improvements. It's certainly running very well and faultless I must say.

Ok im going to say it but BF is back.
Im no longer in my 40s ive been there since BF1942 , many thousands of hours in the franchise but this is without doubt a return to form from DICE.
I actually cannot belive its this good after playing the likes of BF1,BFV2042 etc the past decade finally finally finally we have a solid Battlefield to sink countless hours into.
The beta gave me hope but the map choices in there were not great let be honest.
My only negative is there are no huge maps but the more i think of it the more in think of huge maps in BF4 and BF3 there was times when there was too much downtime between combat, this time round it might be a tad too intense but i wont complain because the gunplay is S-tier without doubt.
Im hoping the throw some classics from BF3 in particular plus some of its DLC maps were outstanding.

Way too many years have passed without an FPS to be really excited about but this is so good to play.

As one of the posters above commented, these types of games are what you make of them. The environments, gunplay and movement in BF6 are exemplary and if you get a couple of good players on your team the game is amazing. On the flip side if you get a team where everyone rushes off and does their own thing it can be very frustrating as you picked off by the other side, but then that's your opportunity to change your game and use a more methodical style to take on the enemy.

Any1 else got a little 512B file sitting on the steams download tab which says game not released? Game runs fine for me just wondering.

Also its a nice touch they are giving the EXP and HWXP boosts and free season pass to the EA APP guys, im sure those XP boosts will be handy

I have to say I'm loving the SOVIS filter on/off option.

It always annoyed me how people would constantly complain about lack of 'visibility' forcing devs to make unrealistic lighting tweaks to infantry just so people can stop crying and shoot each other more easily.

I personally prefer things to look realistic and if that means it's harder to spot enemies because they're in shadow then so be it. Love the fact I can turn this off. I don't see it as a disadvantage because I'll adapt.

I also prefer chromatic aberration and film grain on so I guess I'm just one of those people. :D

Ok I am rubbish at Battlefield. I play a lot of CoD but I only play Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. Nothing that takes any sort of tactics or thought. I run and gun on the smallest maps possible. My build is alwways move as quickly and quietly as possible and engage the enemy as quickly as possible. This leads to a lot of kills and a lot of deaths.

This does not really fit Battlefield. I am trying to slow down some what by finding myself charging round corners or chasing down players anyways.

Any suggestions or BF tips in general to improve that or any adivice on game modes that are not TDM or DM

I think it’s graphically the best yet and Plsy is fluid but it’s very intense (classic bf) and loads of cover but often makes it hard to work out where they are. Usual story with bf - crazy levels especially urban maps

I know what you mean - I play the same way and die a lot because of it.

I think as you say, slow down, use the mini map, let someone else go first - work as squad. Hard to do though, you feel like if you sit still for a second you're going to get sniped.
