Best Retro Handheld

Anbernic RG Cube maybe

However it's a trade off - the screen being a 1:1 aspect will be worse for everything designed for 4:3 (e.g. PS1, Megadrive etc) or 16:9 (e.g. PSP)
That looks like it's showing the screens at different sizes? Same price as the below too.

The Anbernic RG 476H looks like the right sort of thing. Can play up to GC, DC, N64 and PSP and has a 4.7 inch screen as opposed to the 3.5 one I have now. Am slightly concerned with the layout and my thumb though as similar layout to the 35.

Suspect that's probably a software setting on whatever device you use

The issue however is that despite being a 4.7" screen it's got no more vertical height that the 1:1 3.95" on the cube - therefore the actual picture size will probably be very similar just with black bars (or static overlay graphics) to the left/right - unless you stretch things to odd aspect ratios.

The devices are very similar in height

Something like this is more specifically for DS games with a 3:5 aspect ratio screen.

I've just found out if you use the Game Room instead of RA you can hold select and scroll through various options and have 1 screen bigger than the other. That makes it much more playable even on my 35xx so think I'm going for the 476H, just hope it's more comfortable to use. It does look more ergonomic.

Def gettin the retroid pocket mini v2 next unless something better comes out for similar price in the next few months.

Portability is my most important feature since I mostly play it at work and need it to be as discreet as possible. And I love clamshell so I got the RG34xxsp. I do really like the screen on the RG40xxv and RG406V(too expensive)

You mean like the pictures fills the whole screen? You can do that in RA too just in the settings. You can get rid of the UI and fill screen. If that’s what you are talking about

No I mean the bottom screen for instance can be twice the size of the top one.

Both those IPS screens suck donkey balls compared to the RP classic and RP mini.
The classic and mini use the same screen at the Pocket-DMG - https://ayaneo.com/product/AYANEO-Pocket-DMG
...Just without the huge price tag

It was definately more work a few years ago, same with computers / OS setup in general.

I would advise you to do some configuration of your rg40xx h though. Portmaster is supported on Knulli, ROCKNIX, muOS. I would highly recommend muOS :)

Well, the console turned up and its great fun, he didnt put a custom os on it like i thought he would though but has configured every emulator etc so games run great and every button for each console is mapped, having great fun so far :)

They come already configured on Anbernic RG XX devices
Im a noob lol he told me he tweaked the settings or something, didnt know all button mapping etc was already done from stock as i dont have stock sd cards in it, both of them have been upgraded.

Dont know if that makes a difference or not?

The DMG is $400 (actually $419 - $669)

The retroid pocket classic and retroid pocket mini v2 use the same screen. But cost $129 / $179
Ohh I see what you meant I thought you were recommending the DMG as a cheaper option.

What do yall think is the best option for game boy style with ability to play up to Dreamcast and you think is better than ANBERNIC RG34xxsp

Again needs to very portable.

Thank you

I am a dude by the way lol not sure why I got a female photo I’m not mad or anything lol just saying

Yeah shipping is 20 dollars and the wait time is 15-60 days lol I’d much rather pay 200 from amason and get it in a couple days. But is that price worth it or should I wait for a better sale in the future? Any chance it will get down to $150 range?
£53 extra for shipping. Think id wait the ~10 days it took to arrive.
