BMW and M Power Owners

After double checking, I realised you meant seeing the actual Waze UI in the HUD, which mine doesn't have. I thought you meant Waze integrating with the standard BMW nav system to show directions in the HUD, which it does do.

Not sure what distinction you're making here - when using Waze guidance via CarPlay, no instructions show up in the HUD. However, when using Apple Maps and Google Maps, turn-by-turn instructions including some lane guidance show up in the HUD, just like it would using BMW Nav. It doesn't however show up on the digital dash - that remains showing the BMW maps (with no guidance highlighted).

Yup exactly this

It depends on the journey length. If I’m going a long way, Liverpool a few months ago, Sligo in Ireland, I’ll use the onboard nav. I like I can split screen with nav on the right side. If it’s a short journey I’ll just use my phone with spoken instructions from the phone.
AA and carplay support split screen for maps...

Picking up my first BMW on Sunday after test driving it yesterday at the ripe old age of 40. Will be replacing my 2017 Seat Leon mk3.5 1.4 FR that has served me well as a first car since jan 2020.

What's everyone preferred satnav option?
BMW own or Google, Waze etc.

I've always used BMWs own but recently been messing around with android auto & have to say I am starting to prefer Google maps.

On a side note to this am I right in thinking if using Android auto, you can't use the built in Spotify app but need to run the phones app?

I prefer the inbuilt Nav. It integrates much better, especially with the HUD. I like seeing exactly what lane I need to take, where I've often missed it in using Google Maps.

Have you tried with Google Maps recently? I had lane guidance and turn by turn in the HUD when I tried a couple of weeks ago.

Connected drive is asking for login details again. Anyone know if that the same as the MyBMW app or is it something else.. I keep getting it wrong by my passwords are pretty long so getting it wrong is winding me up......lol

Odd, I use Android Auto and do see Waze guidance in the HUD, like this:

Had the same thing. Yes it's the same password as your app and connected drive website login.

Some **** has scraped the whole back of my rear bumper in the multistory.
Covered by CCTV and I had the car that did it I have taken pics.

Not sure how this is going to pan out :( :(

I have the trucks reg I have left a note on their car and the multi storey will have the CCTV.

If they don't play ball can I get the police involved with a crime number ? Apparently i should be able to

Just to set expectations, I had someone drive into the back of the ID.7 in crawling traffic, drove off after I asked for their details, and called the police immediately quoting a crime in progress.

Was told to submit online and received an email saying I won’t hear from them

The carpark security said that the police logs and investigation is usually pretty reliable in this car park

Can only hope..

Rear passenger side bumper has deep scratches. Paint damage , paint taken off
