I dont know if the shadow noise is fixed now or if I just havent reached the point in the DF video, but so far I'm not seeing any noise on shadows with hardware RT on, was the "press" release the same as the release release?

Gave in and picked it up.

Running well so far. DLAA, 4K, 2x frame gen, hardware RT, 90-100 fps so far, 98% GPU usage, 20% CPU.

Looks and runs great, lets see how it goes a few hours in.

Edit: I’ve switched off frame gen, it artefact's quite a lot. Mainly the HUD. Means I’m hovering in the 50s.

Some of the shadows are messed up with RT, but not all of them and the lighting looks so so much better, so I’ve left it on. I must say I’m enjoying what I’ve experienced so far.

Running great for me maxed out, RT and FG on, not seeing any artifacts like in that video*, and shadows are great.

*Yet.

I'll update if I see any further into the game.

I do love this forum, game has been played by a few people and the only comments are how it runs graphically, from clothes to ray tracing.

Whilst I appreciate the complete lack of spoilers, I really want to know is it fun?

Yes, the gunplay is a lot smoother this time and the gameplay options very very open. I’m enjoying it, but then I loved the first and New Vegas that are both very similar.

It’s just the occasional shadow affected. I wish frame gen didn’t cause ghosting on the HUD or I’d run it.

The main menu is neat.

Edit: seems my frame gen ghosting is linked to HDR, so I have to pick between them. I’ve opted for HDR.

To be fair, I'd only played an hour when I mentioned the clothes...

It's good so far. If you enjoyed the first in any way, you should love this.
