Arc Raiders

I've started just spawning in with the free loadout, and if I make it out alive, and the gun is any use I'll upgrade it and add mods, rather than using my best weapons.
I was trying to get to the grove for fruit, but everytime I spawned in to that map there was ton's of Arc walkers and rocket ships. Most people were nice, 1 was a git and shot me when I was taking out some drones.

Addictive as hell though! :)

That's what I do, too. Do a few free loadouts, get some materials and upgrade weapons then keep going until I either get killed or the equipment degrades and start the cycle again.

Knowing you need certain items for certain upgrades has me crippled in terms of storage despite upgrading it a few times already. Also, some craft-able items I need to keep because I don't have the blueprint yet.

One trick is to sell the stacks of basic items scrappy pulls in after a few rounds. You know it's going to keep coming but the value can go towards expanding your stash size.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this though. Very addictive and satisfying when you make it across the map and extract. I love how the PVE is just as threatening as the PVP and the atmosphere is perfect. Someone was camping a roof trying to pop me last night so I aggroed a rocketeer, escaped it using smokes and it unloaded on them instead. Shame I couldn't loot them though.

Hahaha was soloing doing a quest on spaceport, bumped into a guy who was obviously on the same quest, didnt shoot at each other, did the first item pickup, then we had to go to another building, on the way we ran into another person on the same quest, then in the 2nd building we ran into another person on the same quest and then on the way to the extraction point we bumped into another. Was 5 of us in a group by the time we extracted lol

A psychologist could probably do a study on how aggression levels in humans are tied to the number of humans :D
There a really interesting bit in one of the Adam Curtis films about how game theory came out of the cold war, but didn't really work on the secretaries in the buildings they developed it. They were naturally or culturally too nice.

Managed 35 hours since Thursday night which is very unusual for me.

This game has so many moments that'll stick with my for a long long time. It's probably the most fun I've had gaming with mates for ages.

Even some of the interactions with other players is like nothing else. Every raid brings something different.

Yeah there are so many different moments in this game.

Had a solo run yesterday where a guy downed me and I started saying don't shoot etc. He came running over apologising on proximity saying someone just tried to shoot him and he thought I was that person, he then helped me up, and we went on to kill a leaper together. although never got the loot as about 6 other drones showed up and was getting picked at from a sniper :D

Does anyone play this as a two? My mate is keen to play this but we don't have a third. Are we just going to get completely wrecked without one?

There's plenty of 2 men squads running about and I've played a few duo too, there is also an option to fill the squad with another randomer if you want.

Not had an issue with been completely wrecked anymore then when playing in trios in my experience so far.

I've played Duo's more than Solo now and it's not been too bad. Only once got wrecked by a 3-man but my friend scarpered off as I was surrounded by the trio. So whilst there's the obvious numerical disadvantage it's not necessarily an overall totally bad thing to run as a duo. Some times people react differently to a crowd of people than a couple of people.
