The England Cricket Thread

If this test match doesn't last beyond two days they should sack the sack groundsman or cricket Australia should take Perth off list of available test grounds, absolutely ridiculous pitch. Test matches are meant to be played over five days to stretch players mental and physical abilities over a prolonged period of time hence why it's called 'test match cricket'.

Just watch tomorrow morning the last Aussie wicket will out in 70/80 runs then they will crush our batting again before strolling to a win in under three days!

Great days play but who knows which way it goes from here neither team can bat that badly twice surely?

Did you see the bowling from England? That wasn’t bad batting by the Aussies.

Watched the highlights before bed last night, and that first innings had some good bits of batting in it from England, just interspersed with some excellent bowling. If the outfield was a bit quicker could have been a much bigger score. Australia's batting highlights were few and far between it seemed. So hopefully that will transpose onto their second innings. Wicket looks like its up to all sorts again. Shame England couldn't keep it together after lunch as they made a good start in the morning bar Crawley.

Now we watch Australia slowly chip off 200 for the loss of about 4 wickets batting sensibly. All England needed to do was get one decent score and the game was theirs….

(Won’t age well if archer blows way the top 6)

You've got that spot in so far.
I wish I hadn’t but it is so rare for both sides to have massive collapses in both innings and our score wasn’t big enough to make the chase daunting it was always just one decent innings from one player and Aus win. Had we scraped a lead over 300 I think we would have won this but we are incapable of batting to match the situation.

Was always going to be one innings from one player that decided this match. Pretty sad state of affairs to have an Ashes test over in two days. The guy on TMS who was travelling 4000 miles to attend day 3 is gonna be pretty hacked off.

Well that's gg..... excellent batting by Head, clearly adapted to the conditions/pitch quicker then England. We really need to play a bit smarter and reign in the bazball if anything just to give our bowlers a decent rest between innings.
