What film did you watch last night?

Americana (2023)

Watchable crime thriller that doesn't do any particular original, but what is there is good enough to hold your interest and it isn't overly long.

5/10

Death of a Unicorn (2025) - 4/10
When a film seems to be inspired by 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' you know it won't be great. And it failed to make me laugh and just became predictable and boring.

The Old Guard 2 - 6.5/10

It was ok, not a patch on the first. They had a great opportunity to do something with Quynh and totally missed the mark.

Still, I'm looking forward to a third film hopefully with a return to the original's form.

Sisu 2 - 7/10

Still a bit ridiculous in parts but it embraces the character a bit more with a nice emotional touch. Action scenes are great and there are again some truly unique kills. Which in this day and age if you can do anything unique in a movie I am impressed.

Watched Freaky Tales.
An 80's set anthology film with 4 different stories with connecting threads.
Had no idea what to expect going in but enjoyed it a lot and it reminded me of Sin City by the end (in tone and narrative rather than aesthetic)
8/10

Moonraker (1979)

I've never been a fan of this Bond outing and I doubt I'll ever watch it again. The final act in space is pretty poor, although the sets and miniatures are good for their time. The stunt sequences are probably the films main highlights with everything else feeling a bit cheap and rushed. Product placement seemed especially in your face in this film as well.

4/10

Most recent fantastic four.

4/10

Just another marvel film. Predictable and boring

Seemed to get good reviews. But not for me.

Joker: Folie à Deux - 5/10

Phoenix's performance was great, however I had a difficult time with the story in this and I wasn't really a fan of the musical numbers.

I watched this again recently. One of the best war films ever definitely a 10/10

The opening scenes, i cant describe the words, i can see why this caused some PTSD in the cinema when it came out.

Also some of most captivating world war 2 shots that i can imagine.

D-Day landing

Bridge scenes

and probably still the captivating sniper scene
