******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I have just done the twitch video for the armour drop.
I have linked my account to twich bit it is still saying connection required in yellow. has anyone any ideas? I am a bit of a noob to twitch the only other game I have collected stuff on is elite but that says connected a count.

I have tried removing twitch and readding in my star citizen account

thanks.

Look in your hangar once you've collected on Twitch it should automatically update on the CIG site, it will typically only give you that option on the twitch account if they are linked correctly regardless of how it displays on the site. You won't get the option if the two haven't already linked.

I know it still says to connect, but I suspect that's just some nonsense twitch/CIG need to sort out, the accounts are linked in the background.
Most are saying when you hit connect it's showing on the CIG/RSI site almost immediately within your hangar.

Vulkan Renderer proper is coming in 4.5.

It must be said the pace and scope of technical changes this year has been phenomenal.

Your spanner? What for?

Whatever @jonneymendoza had in mind in his Polaris, for the engineering stuff.

Side note. This game is one of the few that supports multiple inputs, so I'm actually able to test the analogue keys on my new keyboard which I set to wasd. Though I forgot that means I can't use those letters to type, meaning you have to switch profiles on the kb. So I think it's more of a gimmick than something I'll realistically ever use in game.

Maybe but right now I'm excited and care more about engineering gameplay. Me and my org mates are excited for this
Engineering will only be partial, not all ships, no maelstrom etc so just feels like it is indeed well on it's way but at least a few years before fully realised. That is fine and it is great it is getting, don't get me wrong but it so far has not felt right, balanced and they are saying they will be faking armour and how it works till it feels right as it is so expect a long long road.

Indeed, Ali has mentioned there is though still also a lot to come but it is huge update and should help push things forward for what they can achieve longer term. Note they are not expecting any real performance improvements yet from this update.

I never thought i would say this but.... the NPC's in Star Citizen are too dammed hard, they have gone from complete numb skulls to brutal, they react to you, they are accurate, they chase you, they hunt for cover, they are lethal, too lethal, they need turning down a couple of notches, holly ****

are they fair or do they cheat - either with health or unfeasible accuracy and able to see through walls etc?

if they are just really well programmed that is amazing...... because with balancing the devs can always dumb the majority of them down a bit but with the slight chance of coming across a few of them to add a bit of spice. (way less predictable as well if they have a spectrum of intelligence).

if however they just have xray vision and are armed with an aim bot and have double armour......... that kind of sucks as whilst i can cope with getting beaten, i hate feeling i have been cheated.

they are probably not that special now but i remember the AI in the 1st FEAR game and being really impressed with them, along with the npcs in the codemasters operation flashpoint games. i felt they were hard but fair.
