At the minute I'm eating tonnes of this stuff. Not a sauce as such but I'm using it instead of sauces.

Lao Gan Ma Crispy Chilli in Oil

It's one of those where you start putting a tiny amount on some cheese and crackers and by the end there's more of this stuff than the cheese and cracker themselves.

Yeah I'm a big fan of those chinese/korean chilli oil things with loads of chopped up chilli in it... they hit different somehow.

I think it's the soy bean/fermented soy bean that gives it a new dimension.

I always have a jar of this in the fridge. It has a nickname ‘chilli crack’ and for good reason :D incredible flavour.

Looks totally wrong and set out as a punishment by the party, which means I'll have to buy some :D

This one is a fave of mine, ive not tried that other one..

I use it more as in ingredient though, like as a marinade or in a stir-fry than as a dipping sauce, as it has loads of oil in it.

That's the best bit, I was dipping pizza crusts into it the other day.

Fancied having the 'Red Dwarf sarnie' for tea earlier, triple fried egg and chili chutney sandwich. So, just because it was on offer, I grabbed a bottle of Nando's Sweet Chili Jam. It took me by surprise, it's really rather nice.

Problem with buying online it's often cheaper to get a selection.

I really rate east coast chilli Co.
noticed quite a few places have upped their prices recently especially with minimum orders...i want like to try a £5 chilli sauce min order is like 40 to 50 quid it just dont make it worth it. kinda annoying

so ending up trying two different sauce shop chilli sauces last night. one was the original and one was the pineapple haberno sauce both were really nice they are a bit runnier but the flavour was really nice the pineapple especially surprised me and had a bit of zing not too hot and a nice habenero taste.

I think i'll try the pineapple sauce. Sounds nice. I like hot but not burn your mouth hot. I also like a chilli taste. I have a chilli plant that has small black chillis that turn red. Not too hot but a lovely taste. I plan on making some sauce from them next summer.

yeah i grow chillis too at some point will make my own sauce. the thing with hotsauces they never as hot as raw chillis. so if you got them fresh you could try them and you will know where you will roughly stand with sauces.sauces tend to be milder than the fresh chilli.
