******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Turns out I had to change my VR to SteamVR from Pimax OpenXR, even though I wasn't trying to play in VR.

Anyway, the game is still as janky as I remember so I'm glad I wasted so long trying to get it running!

I subbed for a month to get whatever random ship I get to use and the rental credits.
Don't want to be given credits or it would make any activity feel pointless

What why?

You only do that if your running games on steam itself?

There’s not a option to launch sc in steam vr or anything like that!

You can enable or disable vr itself from the game options

Back to work.....

Evocati Message of the Day.

(Frjádagr) We are currently putting together a new 4.6 PTU build for a potential Evocati Playtest over the weekend.

2026 begins how 2025 was.

It's been a while since I dived in to see the updates and how this is coming along, I've signed in and despite having bought an account way back when they first announced it, which included a ship I believe, I've got nothing and have to pay, by what I can see, a minimum of 47 EUR to gain access?

Am I doing something wrong? Or is it that such old accounts have been reset? -- edit, can't find the order, so I assume I need to buy a package before I can play?

Odd, when you say signed in do you mean on RSI website or the game launcher? If the latter, can you go to RSI, click avatar on top right-> Account Dashboard -> My Hangar -> Click the dropdown and select 'game packages' and see what it shows.RSI

CF-227 Badger (S2) under a 'Badger and Badges' bundle, which contains 5 items, one of which being the CF-227 Badger (S2) which I assume is a ship (nope, a weapon, looked it up). The bundle was bought in Feb 2017...

When I launch the game, I get no options on locations to spawn in on the drop down nor can I launch the tutorial. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

It almost sounds like you purchased a weapon bundle but not an actual game package, though if it showed that under the 'game packages' drop down then I can't see how that is the case.

Mine for example:

Apparently that bundle is actually a referral bonus for someone using your code, actually I have it too so it must have been a freebie or something like that as I've only ever purchased the game package and subscribed for 2 months total in the past.

Have you got a false memory and perhaps just registered the account but never 'pledged' and got a game package, or was there just an option to buy Squadron42 (the single player game being developed concurrently) standalone you perhaps have, which would explain why you can't log in to SC.

I think that's the case, I might have played on another account from someone else years ago. I thought I had bought an account, checked accross the emails, it seems not! Is there a cheaper entry to try it out? Or is the base 'pledge' which seems to be around 50 EUR the entry cost?

Looks like 'Citizen Starter Pack' is cheapest atm (£40 uk). They often do free fly events where you can try the game for nothing and often have discounts on the pledges too, unless you're desperate I'd probably wait for said event. Though you can refund within 30 days also..
