face recognition etc

On topic I do see potential for there to be issues with using this tech alone. As supporting evidence though, fair.

However, please keep to the facts and explain yourself properly.
However my threads are usually boring, they are usually asking for advice or spec me something so spec'ing a toaster when I want a new car tyre would be daft..
Sometimes I may drop an headline and ask for other people's thoughts so you could have your say but turn it into a conspiracy theory and I'll have a go back.

There has just been a 5 minute story about this on the BBC National News.
One woman had been put on Facewatch who shouldn't have been, it was sorted.

Sadly it isn't tin foil hat territory and Skipper is correct.
The shop owner on the National News has an ear piece and within 5 seconds of the AI detecting a theft he is alerted to it.
Anybody who is already on Facewatch who comes in he is alerted.

Does it record everyone. If theres 20 people in the shop does he get 20 notifications? If so why?

The tinfoil hat is that any record keeping is automatically bad.
