*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Imo native is different to what it used to mean and doesn't hold as much weight. As gfx effects have got better, changes in rendering techniques have meant a lot of the output is not as sharp as it could be, not true native. Overall it looks better but it's drawback is that some of the clarity has been lost. Dlss comes along and sharpens the image to bring back some of the clarity lost via modern effects. In a way Dlss is making the pq closer to native.

Cinematically though, I enjoy Pentacles the most. Talking to a broken Reed on the sand, before watching him walk off with the credits rolling and the final track kicking in just works so, so well.

After upgrading my setup to a RTX 5080 I thought I'd give Cyberpunk a new playthrough on PC with Phantom Liberty as I missed out on that on my last playthrough (did on the ps5 as well shortly after its release) so really looking forward to a big improvement.

I'm looking at mods to really push the graphics as I've seen some amazing videos of it online. What is the best ones people use? I've got these but if I'm honest, I'm new to this so not sure if I've done it right

I've got Cyberpunk set up with everything on high (I think) and the below mods

Some examples below without mods

And with

Am I doing this right or is there any recommendations?

It’s best to join Nexus and download one of the big mod packs through the mod manager. Forget the one I have but something like 800 mods. But it’s fantastic

I did sign up for nexus but just standard membership so couldn’t see the packs

I did see one under the standard mods called City of Dreams Overhaul that had 1100 mods included so not sure if that’s any good?

yeh that’s one of the good ones. It’s worth paying for a one month membership and cancelling right away. You get access to the the fast download speed and if done through the mod manager it’s a formality.

There are graphical and QoL/bug fix mods I think make the game better even if your are a first time player, but I would not call them compulsory.
Cheers. I will still have a look. Already got one "essential" mod which is the "no intro mod" as I hate games that have long intros before we can click on play game.

Is it best to play this without any mods for a first playthrough? Or are ther some compulsory mods even for first playthrough?

IMO and something I apply to any game is that I’ll happily use any kind of graphic improvements but I rarely will change the gameplay even on subsequent playthroughs.

Never been one for changing things too much, if I like a game enough to get to the modding stage, chances are I don’t want to change much about it.

I always play a game through mod free to start with.

Then I'll mod as much as I fancy, some can often change games in drastic ways so I prefere to start how the Devs meant for it to be played.

Would you be so kind to give a guide to implementing these mods? I have nexus mods (premium for 3 days) and Vortex mod manager installed.

Apart from that, I am at a loss as to what mods I need to download from all the different options! I downloaded a load yesterday and the game ran like sh**, so I deleted everything and went back to stock. I would like to get the game looking as nice as possible before my 3 day trail is over.
