I'd rather have a dry winter but just raining in the evening or something. I can't cope with the cold AND the rain!
To be honest I don't mind a bit of rain it keeps the garden alive and washes away the dust. and because it's nice and warm things dry off quickly anyway.

Weather forecast still saying cool nights but it's 7am and 22c. Nights are the same as the last heatwave.

BBC is very poor for me, consistently getting the highs and lows wrong, today it think its a high of 26c? Erm no, more like 31c.
The Met Office's current forecast for me is showing a slight downwards trend in temps to below 30c from Saturday onwards. 29c on Sat, 26c on Monday.
It looks like tomorrow/Friday will be the peak of this heatwave.

Same here, however 26c is still quite above average and its still sunshine, no rain which is very much needed now.

When it is really hot there is nothing better than stripping off and standing in front of the open freezer.
Judging by the screams and police action, I don't think Iceland was TBH the best place to do it.

22c is cool compared to 30
Doesn't cool enough though once the bricks are heat soaked
Room temp I woke up to was 26c it never went down and it's only gonna get worse

Record deaths here in Spain this year due to the heat.
I've not actually found it *that* horrific compared to last year, although i'm in a different house which is better insulated and so AC is probably doing a better job, last year i remember using a towel on the sofa to soak up ball sweat. Maybe i'm firmly becoming Spanish

It's funny isn't how we all perceive temperature differently? 22c for me is cool and comfortable.
By 8pm with the windows open it feels lovely to me.
