DLSS 5 preview

They absolutely will, and will make the current gen look slow in comparison (for dlss 5). It's why I'm not going to upgrade until next gen.
I don't see how, actually. Just look at datacentre GPUs processing AI models - what do you see? PLENTY of very very fast memory (as most models sit on memory performance when they grow a bit bigger and not compute itself), but also gigantic tensor matrices making them horribly expensive and 100% useless for generating any 3D gaming graphics. Unless NVIDIA will decide to go the route of "Let's drop CUDA and replace with tensor cores and very fast vRAM" (which is highly unlikely), there's not that much they can change over 5090 AI processing performance, as that already includes almost all known hardware optimisations they could put into a gaming GPU without compromising actual gaming part of it: nvfp4 native processing, large cache, fast and large amount of vRAM, fast clocks with high power use, and plenty of smaller things in between.

What strawman exactly?

You keep pushing how you could do everything you want the classic way (you already said PT isn't that, so it's raster). Doing it the classical way is simply not true.
Let me Wiki it for you :D "A straw man fallacy (sometimes written as strawman) is the informal fallacy of refuting an argument different from the one actually under discussion, while not recognizing or acknowledging the distinction." - the moment you put into someone's mouth an argument they didn't make (first with raster that wasn't even mentioned, then the whole following "hallucination") just to refute it, it's 100% strawman fallacy mate. Just own it. And read again the bit about PT I've written because it's not "if it's not PT then it's raster" at all.

Grace looks nothing like that for me. She looks almost unchanged. It must not be working right for me in RE9.

Yeah I think the versions before yesterday weren't quite working right with RE Engine games so could be that. Although, the effect seems to be applied a bit differently in the opening area of the game for some reason. In other areas the change to grace is less drastic, like in this example I posted earlier:

.. but this is actually a good thing imo as it looks more true to the original design and the change is still substantial enough.

I know it’s the flavour of the month to bleat about having to rent things…..but last time I checked, you’re still free to buy all your music, books, films etc on physical media if you choose to.

You certainly have the option of renting stuff digitally. But the market isn’t going to stop selling GPUs to gamers, same as it didn’t stop selling books, CDs, Blu-ray etc etc. to people that want to hand over their cash for it.

The only people happy about the current massive demand/supply upheaval in the memory market are the memory manufacturers. It’s not some global conspiracy to push people to digital rentals.
I put my order in for a physical copy of GTA6 oh wait.

That is completely wrong. Aside BIG releases in cinema, original production for streaming media exists only digitally (over 85% of it according to stats) and no plans at all to put it on physical media. One small example of a title "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery & The Gray Man". Over 100 films release annually to online streaming services, almost none of them end up available on physical media and you CAN'T buy them at all, you can only rent them - which is a big issue, as people think they BUY them and then Sony and other just remove them from their library and say "Read the TOS next time! :D". Books went that route too (not streaming but Kindle only etc. - and again, you CAN'T buy them, you only rent them as per ToS!).
You certainly have the option of renting stuff digitally. But the market isn’t going to stop selling GPUs to gamers, same as it didn’t stop selling books, CDs, Blu-ray etc etc. to people that want to hand over their cash for it.
But market IS stopping selling physical media. Sony pulls off physical games, Microsoft is planning to do the same and so are other publishers. Films on Blu-ray - as said above, dying out, same with music (most goes directly to streaming). Books (Kindle and the likes where you never actually OWN anything) where only about 3% of all published books ever end up physical. Music - over a 100 milion tracks hosted on Spotify and full human production of physical media is only 10-15 milion unique tracks currently (so huge majority never goes physical!). You have some very very outdated information about state of the market. And pricing out gamers of GPUs and other components by just simple logic of "Can't afford it" will push people towards streaming. It should not be surprising at all.
The only people happy about the current massive demand/supply upheaval in the memory market are the memory manufacturers. It’s not some global conspiracy to push people to digital rentals.
And NVIDIA who constantly repeated for a while now "We can't make faster GPUs, we need to switch to AI instead!", etc. :) That's literally perfect for the future of their business - no more struggling to make faster gaming GPUs, paying monthly for streaming nobody will care about it, they will just want games with low latency and nice visuals and not ask HOW it's made on server side of things.

My information is good as of about an hour ago when I went into a bookshop, bought a book I wanted....then went into a music shop and bought a CD I was after.

I find it very hard to take seriously all the histrionics about digital sales from PC gamers who have spent the last couple of decades throwing money at Valve to pretend to 'own' their PC game library. PC gaming truly led the way in showing that what the mass market really wants is digital online platforms over physical media.

You can now use 1 simple program to install to your game, Doesn't work with 32bit games or Vulkan, Yet, But does work for DX11 and 12, With or without DLSS.

Point it to your game folder, Click install, Done.

With the newer version of the NR dll it looks like there are no different settings anymore and it is much more refined and performant.

This one works perfectly! Thanks :D

Found that this will miss games that have more than one exe, like Stalker 2, which has a shipping.exe, no biggie, just set it manually to search.

How about some Dlss 5 in flight simulator? It works really well in driving games so why wouldn't it work well in flight simulators right?

The transformation starts at around 50 seconds and it's quite amazing
