It’s only Nvidia GPUs that are silly prices, plus CPUs are a relatively cheap drop in upgrade.
.9070XTs are now £800 so it’s not just Nvidia that have been hiked. Why is it only Nvidia GPU's that are up so much? I know there is the Nvidia tax, but it can't just be that, I know it's "supply" as dies are being diverted to pro cards for AI + ram, but AMD have pro AI stuff as well don't they? Same with ram, but the effect is not as bad, up, but not as much as Nvidia.

The 5090 is an outlier though as it’s the only current gen card with more than 16gb vram which means it’s useful for AI workloads.Nearly 1/6th of a 5090, just let that sink in.
HUBs new video shows they have all gone up. Nvidia specifically though? They're more in demand for AI stuff vs AMD's offering so perhaps they make consumer stuff more expensive as they really don't need the consumer market at all whereas AMD do a bit more (?)
