Rise of the Tomb Raider Bench Thread

Do we think the inbuilt benchmarking tool is representative of i game performance?

I have my 970 on Very high settings but with textures on high. With Very high textures the benchmark gets lows of 20. with high it's minimum of 30's.

Representative?

(I've looked for the Rise of the Tomb Raider thread but cant find it)

Not sure if its because its a Titan and/or 12gb memory or they have tweaked the game and/or drivers but I wasnt showing the massive lows in min framerate that the other people were at 2160p

It does look stunning at that res. Time to play it. :)

It is one of the very few situations where DX12 does work better.

12gb Maxwell cards also benefit running DX12 @2160p.

Just done a quick run with slower cpu clock and slower boost on the titan and gained 6% with the new drivers despite everything been set a few percent slower. Mins improved massively to 39 at 1440p
