The Pascal GTX 1080 Ti Owners Thread

Wasn't expecting to be an owner of one, but it'll be here tomorrow! Amd taking too long.

Palit super jetstream for £640.

Looks to be powerful, quiet and cool enough and will see my return to air cooling for first time in few years.

Watercooling was more important to me for multi card solutions, and won't be doing that again.

Good choice, mine sits at 2050mhz no problem and noise performance is great. Why you'd spend more, unless you were super keen on warranty, I'm not sure.

You will love it, it's a great card. I hope you have some means of playing at 4k, it will blow you away. For me, who's always gamed at 1080p and never any higher, getting a 4K TV and a 1080Ti the same day was like a next-gen leap. PC hardware is usually gradual but for me the GPU was such a huge step up.

Yeah, I have a Sony 43XD80 4K tele I use as monitor, which is great.

Single 980ti could struggle a little, but I could have easily held on to for another year.

Just thought as I had some free time, I would take the chance to pull out my WC stuff, as it's a bit overkill for me these days, and move to something with better performance with decent air cooling.

Edit:
Oh, how annoying! I waited for hours today for OCUK to update their TWO offers, to see if the Super Jetstream made it on. Gave up at 4PM. and ordered elsewhere - and now it's on! Still saved £9, but would have got it from here...

Got it in, and seems to run around 1924 as standard.

Stupidly put it in top slot, and now would have to remove my CPU cooler to move it down, doh! I forot a mamoth air CPU cooler could be a pain for that!

just went for +101 to give me 2025, and adjusted fan curve to be 1:1 with temp. Keeps it mid to low 70's.

Not had much time to check performance ye, but from the quick ROTTR bench, looks to be good.

So, looks like all good on this front - but think my CPU is running hotter than it should so may have to reseat that. Tomorrow.

Nice looking card.

Nice one. Now update that sig!
Overclocking the memory will give a big boost too. It's not unusual to see +400 or +500 on the memory to reach 6000mhz overall.

My GPU ain't working, I have no idea what's wrong.

I have tried different PCI lanes, different cables and nothing has worked.

The card is lighting up and fans are spinning.

Any suggestions?

BIOS reset? Assuming you've already had the settings written down before resetting? Had that once with a card.

How do I reset the BIOS?

I have a MSI Gaming 5 Z97 board - BIOS version V1.13 - Release Date 2014-06-18

I haven't updated it since I got the motherboard..

There are 9 BIOS updates after the one I've got so I guess that could be the problem?

Can I install the latest BIOS or do I need to do a step up BIOS install?

Usually most boards has a clear CMOS button at the back. You press it with the system powered down and unplugged.
