The Pascal Titan X and XP Owners Thread

AIO installed up and running, very pleased with the temps, warm night and can't push it above 50c no matter how hard I bench, clocks seems to stick around 2076 @ +175mhz in afterburner, crashed in one bench at 180mhz so dropped back down.
Memory seems to be insane, pulling 6400mhz with no artefacts and bench's aren't strangling yet, might be some left in it still - how high is the memory meant to clock on the Xp?

Seem to be struggling with my Firestrike score though, spec in sig pulling 24303 (got 23400 with my last TXP), was hoping 26k, am I doing anything wrong? Running my monitor in 1920*1080 and Gsync off, is there anything else?

Just need a more powerful CPU.

Greebo gets the same score with a 5920k and the old titan X though, never see the CPU go above 30% load, but GPU never hits anywhere near 100% load (96/97% sometimes hits lower).

The Physics and Combined tests in Firestrike give CPUs like the 6950X a noticeable advantage.

Ok fair enough, I'm not bottle necked with the 5930k @ 4.5 on this GPU thought am I?

Looking at your scores you only pulled another 400+ points over your old Titan?

There is also a bit of bottlenecking going on with Firestrike Standard as well.

To test very fast graphics cards it is best to use Firestrike Ultra and compare the graphics scores.

Thanks I'll give Ultra a try tomorrow, but isn't this 4k? My monitor is only 1440p.

Yup, have quite a few of those allen keys here so one is bound to fit. Ordered an aio and just waiting on it being delivered. My titan holds 1974-1990 on air at 70% fan so pretty noisy :eek:

Kills the noise, the only way to run these cards really, with 120% power mine pulled 1980 without overclocking on AIO.

Yeah, bit of an irritation with the card costing so much and nvidia not warrantying cooler removal. That and the tiny screws which are apparently stupidly easy to break according to gamer nexus. Probably an intentional thing on nvidia's part to deter third party cooling with a tell tale sign if the cooler was removed if the screw was broken or missing.

Stuck my aio on tonight, pretty straightforward. Only real issue i had was getting out the fan connector which was a bit of a pita. Just testing it with the rad sitting in place til i mount it to the case tomorrow.

The amount of screws this card has is utterly ridiculous, you have little tiny screws, then when you get the backplate off you have these weird hex shaped screws that the little screws actually screw into the top of. It wasn't possible to do this by using a single screw instead of stacking them up for some reason? It took me a minute to twig that the screws actually stacked like that and then i was left wondering why. Really odd way of doing things.

Is a pain how they put this one another, at least all you have to do is take the back plate off and the screws under it and your away, no shroud work to be done at all.

What sort of clocks and temps you getting?

Weird looking case, they've been using that design a few years now haven't they? I remember part of the case shape gimmick being angular for better airflow, not being able to put it too close to walls unlike a flat back case. Surprised to see braided cables, i seen a video of one of these a couple of years back and the cables were like something out of a psu 15 years ago.

Ed: that's the video, seems like they are braided but tons of exposed cables hanging out.

It will still render the image at 4K then just fit it to your screen. Could run it with a 720p or 4k monitor and with an identical setup the results will be the same.

Yeah they don't look like that stock. I've gutted mine, fitted an AX1200 with a braided cable set, made the floor box, changed all of the insides etc. It's not stock, far from it.

Case was first released in 2014. I've had mine since 2015. Just done a board/CPU swap from a 5820k to a 14 core Broadwell E Xeon.
