Got mine on Thursday but only got round to installing today as I purchased it as part of a full system upgrade.

From mine I can't see that it does . just a chunk o ally ;) .... Temps under stock conditions hit about 73-74c avg with stock fans . overclocked to 2000mhz with stock fans it sure climbs to about 85c under load . but a morw agressive fan curve will sort that . I also don't have any intakes just exausts . the cards fair quiet and even ramped up it's slightly audiable but not intrusive .was expecting a plastic shroud .but all metal construction . thankfully .

very nice to see others with 2 cards, i look forward to see what 2 can do and if they are good and scale well i may contact nvidia and canel my rma and rip open my fe cards and go the whole hog and watercool them, on a side note what psu are you runing as i may need to upgrade if all goes well on your end (i have a hx 850w platinum from corsair)

Could be caused by the card rendering the game at high fps, doom has a cap of 200, from benchmarks of Wolfenstein 2 the game has no cap and go well over 200 fps on these RTX cards.
Try Vsync on or lower the monitor refresh, again with v-sync on.
 
Are people really buying these? Genuinely surprised. Such lackluster performance increase after 2 years, and the pricing..

I guess people are waiting to try RTX games when they become available? That price though. Dayum..

Def gonna skip this gen and wait for a real upgrade.
 
Can we leave posts like that out of the owners threads?

I really can’t see how you can talk either Boom when you’ve been a serial spender on top GPU’s over the past few years, now it’s out of reach of an arbitrary limit you’ve set you’re pretending to care.

Yeah a serial buyer that for the first time will be skipping this whole gen from Nvidia. That says it all.

The cost, lack of performance improvement in 2 years. It's like I'm not allowed an opinion unless it's pro Nvidia xD

This thread is for the owners or for people to discuss about the card. Not yet another thread for the same people saying the same thing over and over.
 
i have a ftw3 gtx 1080 ti atm, i ordered 2 2080's as the price of a single 2080 ti was laughable at the time, as i said i got back late and was unable to cancel my order via nvidia when the reviews hit, i'm curious to see what 2 2080's are caple of, it must be better than a single card but i need to know first before i canel my return and get both on water, hopefully M1keMK will post some benches of the two cards they have soon
 
also interested in the performance of 2 cards, more specifically the impact it has on raytracing. Guess I'll be waiting til late october to decide whether it's worth doubling up.
