Well. The Roosevelt island final battle, almost made me quit. They literally chuck everything at you. Flamers, rushers, tanks, countless enemies left right and center. Edit. Not to mention the three mini gun towers ! That mini gun on the boat was so god damned annoying. Toughest thing in a game I think I’ve ever accomplished :D not looking forward to WT4 :eek;

Ha! I hear you on that - got close with doing the same last night, doing the last stronghold again, but on challenging this time - only two of us.

Best thing for miniguns (imo) is the purple gas skill - it's brilliant, and can be fired at the towers, as the gas spreads :)

Thanks for that, I’ll give it a go later ! Haven’t used the chem* launcher yet. Ive literally only used cluster mine and turret. The skills all seem to be a bit meh.. :/ firefly seems useless and so does the drone. I hate manually selecting targets with them!

Only decent offensive skill [imo] is the Assault turret - targets and fires automatically, and provided to put it somewhere an elite boss can't kick it; it'll be great for a distraction or suppression.

Defense wish, the chem launcher with the green gas (healing - don't recall the name) - as it'll repair about 70% of your armor in one shot, and you get three shots with it! The cool down is also pretty short; so you can usually heal yourself and team mates easily.

Depending on what you're doing, the above two should cover pretty much cover all scenarios - if you're going for something harder solo, you can replace the turret with the Hive reviver - it'll bring you back to life (albeit, with no armor mind!).

chem launcher/healer is great, wish the healing drone was more use, the few times i've used it the thing gets shot down before it could do much.

tried the hive reviver but didn't have much success with it :(

Strategic placement of the turret (out of tank reach) pre battle is essential. It can last the whole wave usually. If not, destroy it manually before it destroys itself and the cool down drops to 40 ish seconds instead of 90. Sometimes my cluster mine also glitches, kills 4 or 5 enemies then instantly cools down and can be used again. Maybe it’s a perk on a weapon or armor I have ? Gonna try Chem launcher this afternoon with the flame canister.

I miss the sticky bomb from the first game !

I haven't played this much since release, I got to Lvl 30 but haven't done much since apart from a few invaded missions.

Last night I thought I would give it a go but I just couldn't see anything to do, there were no invaded missions on the map and all the strongholds needed an item level that was a fair bit above my current level.

I must be missing something but surely there should be something highlighted on the map to do, otherwise how are you supposed to gear up to do the only things that are available on the map?

I've just got to level 30, (got some side missions/main missions still to do), done 1 stronghold, what are the item levels you've mentioned ?

as for things to do, arn't they just repeats of the main missions but with the black tusk ?, only asking as i didn't think i'd get to level 30 so didn't pay attention lol

Arrrrggggh! Got an awesome lvl 450 AK last night, and still don't have the extended 7.62mm magazine :(

Did a bunch of challenging bounties, a heroic one, and a lvl 4 rated control point last night with a group - great fun, as I seemed to have finally got my AR damage sorted; melting elites was a doddle :D

any tips please :D, like using the ar's but most i have at the moment damage wise is around 3.4k

Mostly all of my kit has the +15% damage to elites, my specialist is also the Survivalist - so an extra 15% AR damage there. I have also rolled talents onto kit to add critical hit damage and chance. My ACR does 14.8k damage, and the 60 round mag comes in handy.

Tried my first invaded mission last night. Wow I got totally destroyed. The first couple of encounters I scraped through. But the last one there was a tank with a minigun, and a load or purples with suicide drones. Maybe my gear score is just too low (270 on WT1)

am i right in thinking you can't get the extended 7.62 mag until wt4 ?

Needs to be Tier 4 but you only need to get the Control Point to level 3 to get a blueprint. Much easier to do at the level so you'll be able to rattle more of them off in the hope of getting the one you want. I'm currently struggling to get one of the Hyena boxes to drop the parts I need for the Chatterbox. :(

Not liking some of the changes in the WT5 update:

  • No more +30 magazine for assault rifles, now it's down to +10!
  • They have oddly removed most of the negative affects to weapon modifications, which is a shame, as that forced you to select modifications wisely.
  • Key safes seem to be pretty scarce now, no more scouting the sewers and getting loads of keys - it's more like 1 or 2 now.
  • Having to double tap a shoulder button, in order to deploy your chem launcher's healing locally - though I appreciate that appears to be a fix (still annoying!).
In addition, it seems that weapon crates within free roam, are quite scarce too - they are absent in area where they once were.

Other than these whinges, I still love the game!

Clan is pretty active from what I can tell, normally 10+ players on at different times throughout the day. (I'm Ferrit by the way).

50 isn't enough imo, I appreciate they didn't want people maxing the clan levels out super quick with hundreds of accounts but it needs to be upped. Perhaps when the clan reaches max rank they should be able to recruit as many people as they like.
