Multicore is strange, sometimes just over 4.2 all core, reboot and its "only" 4.18.

Absolutely. When we have hot weather and i boot up in the morning mine boots at 4.23Ghz all core. When it's cooler, it'll boot at 4.25Ghz all core. On a very cold morning though it will boot at 4.3Ghz all core, but at 4.3Ghz it will never run any CPU benchies without re-booting. At 4.25Ghz it will run any bench all day long using all cores.

This is the mainstream - the gap on the HEDT platform is going to be embarrassing. I really hope that Intel can respond on 10nm, the competition needs it - and if AMD are now at $750 on their top consumer chip they are going to be able to go to $1500+ on the top TR chips if there is no real competitor up there.

-edit- OK so the 2990WX is a list price of $1800 - I think that the top TR chip is going to push $2,500 if it actually releases at 64 cores. It will muller the Intel 28 core part which is what $4000+?

I just want a board with good vrms, pcie4, good cooling and oc's well. I have no need for wi-fi or bits of plastic and I have my sound card for sound.

I wish boards didn’t come with expensive sound bits and bobs or built in intel wifi. These add cost for stuff I’ll never use
