Only Asus boards with it cost arm and both legs.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/bvfo57/list_of_b350_b450_x370_and_x470_motherboards_with/

It's 10 phase only in dividing current.
Controller operates with 5 phases and doublers only split input PWM signal into two output signals at half the frequency.
Datasheets of IR3598 and IR3599 have diagrams of their operation.

esat, 90% of boards are in the 'dividing current ' you speak of. until NOW their was NO PWM Controller that could handle 16 channels - one phase/driver per channel . There are Multi Phase controllers that can handle two singles per channel Like Meg used but arent as good but saves on using doublers .

only boards that don't use doublers are AORUS and their new flagships using 16 PWM controllers . Aorus Gaming 7 is still 10 true phases are there are 10 IR3553 linked to 5 IR3599 Linked to one Controller IR3556. It can still run a 2700x overclocked Naked with no heatsink !

Youre not going to see any budget board any time soon using 16 controller PWMs for a while... not at cheap design costs

The True 10 phases is in a reference to Gigabytes 8 Hybrid phases with lower x470/b450 boards which isn't the case , its 4 phases.

Speak to any of the Gigabyte, MSI and ASRock PM's and they'll tell you using doublers is most effective way currently to get high level of power to the socket . Ripple is a little bit higher but know one will know.

That "hybrid" phase is exactly what doublers create.
VRM's response to changes in load is that of 5 phase controller and it doesn't create any new phase control pulses.
Doublers only split control pulses of single phase into two halved frequency pulses for separate sets of components... running at half the RMS current.

If doubler outputted input signal frequency pulses (just with interleaving) to both outputs, then we would be closer to true 10 phases.
With combined operation of phases at same frequency to true 10 phases lowering output ripple.

The True 10 phases is in a reference to Gigabytes 8 Hybrid phases with lower x470/b450 boards which isn't the case , its 4 phases.
Those were just plain BS/fraud/scam instead of any "hybrid.
Similar to adding extra tyres to one axle not creating more axles into vehicle.

@EsaT
doublers have been used for over 10 years in motherboard manufacturing ? and not just PC but aerospace etc because controllers havent existed to handle more channels .

Multi Phase controllers are stop gaps until 16 PWM controller was finally made but even then, we'll still see in upcoming boards these using doublers with 16 pwm- ergo X*99 boards running 28 phases for 64 cores :)

Doublers will stay within the industry - no getting around it . B550 release will show that

happily take asus Strix 10 phases - over any b450 board including the Carbon personally .

I’m in 2 minds between keeping my asus x370 prime pro or ditching it for a X470 board. My x370 can only manage 2400 ddr4 stable with 32Gb. Any idea if changing just the cpu to a 3700X there will be a good chance to get the memory speed to 3400ish?

Well if you go for a X470, I Have x470 Prime Pro, it runs 3200mhz kits Fine :)

"MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC" Nice board for under £100 :) got the bios USB flash button on rear I/O :), all testing performance been done on the b450/x470 boards,
they all offer around the same in M.2 speed on a good brand, like Samsung.

motherboard Got a good 5 star rating from most people.
Great Audio built in & RGB on the side .

That is the board that I am looking at to put a ryzen 3600 in. I am wondering if it will be OK for upgrading the CPU later to the 16 core 3950x or 4th gen 4950x at stock?

Nice review of the MSI Pro carbon

Correct video :)
yes nice video. that mobo does seem good for me. Is it the same value & performance than the Asus STRIX B450 F gaming? or is one better than the other?

1700 is still totally capable now. It would be worth £289 now if AMD hadn’t brought out better ones for even cheaper. In two years I will update the bios of her x370 prime pro and get her a 4950x 16 core to put in it and then it will be future proofed for a long while.
