Hey guys. I already bought all new pc parts with RTX 2080 Super Waterforce, mobo, psu, rams. But only cpu left to buy. I read requirements that 9900K and 2080 Ti for nightmare settings. So buy 9900K instead of 9700K?

I will be playing on 1440P

They actually said:

Intel Core i9-9900K or better, or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or better

Long term you are better off with the Ryzen 7 CPU IMO as both next gen consoles will use 8 core/16 thread Ryzen CPU's so games will be optimised for those.

So buy for Doom 9700K or 9900K?

Doom Eternal requires a Radeon VII 16GB graphics card with a Core i9-9900K 8-Core 3.6GHz or Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core 3.6GHz processor to reach the Ultra-Nightmare specs, achieving Ultra-Nightmare graphics setting on 4K at 60fps, or 1440p at 120fps. For your PC to completely meet the recommended requirements you will also need 16 GB system memory. To run Doom Eternal even on low graphics settings your PC will require at least a 4GB GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB / Radeon R9 280 with a Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz or Ryzen 3 2200G CPU. This will return an average of 60 frames per second. Minimum RAM requirements are 8 GB system memory. Another thing to consider is the DirectX capability of your GPU. Doom Eternal needs a GPU capable of running DirectX 12

Where are you getting these system requirements from? I've checked the Steam page but all it asks for is a 64-bit processor. Also I would think that given how optimised the engine is a Radeon VII will be massive overkill, and also it uses Vulkan, not DirectX 12.

Or is this some in-joke i'm late to the party for? :D

[Edit] Just seen them on the last page, i'm going to go with an iceberg-sized pinch of salt on that one.
