Panting like a fiend
Shame we’re not allowed to defend ourselves with firearms in this country.
And then we could have the fun of lots of people shot and killed.

Handguns in widespread use in anything other than the hands of law enforcement tends to be a very slippery slope, as sure you can use them to "defend yourself", but equally it means you're far more likely to have someone using it to attack others (and you can protect yourself from a knife far more easily than from someone with a gun - the stabbings in Reading the other night could have been much worse if the guy had a gun)., and things escalate quickly so what might have been settled with just some shouting and shoving ends up with a gun used.

Point stands. Unless you're implying that every person have a firearm? You're not saying that are you? Cos that's not a very intelligent thing to say.

Where’s the bit where you explain how the perpetrator getting shot by police after the crime helps the victims?

The Tories policies of brexit and immigration were imo, one of the biggest reasons they got such an overwhelming majority.

So you accept your position is one of belief over evidence. The problem with belief is that it is a static position, everything is twisted to support it whereas if you look at the evidence none of it supports what you believe in this case other than vacuous rhetoric which has proven unfounded for over a decade. Do you think this government is different, if so in what way and what leads you to that conclusion?

How many victims would there be if the attacker had easy access to a gun for the same reasons you justify? Not just in case of an isolated incident but every other too?

How does having guns help Americans then? Escalation will only lead to a negative outcome.

There was the Texas church shooting that was prevented last year. I’m not saying that it will always help but at least it gives you an option.

I’ll refrain from replying further as I’m dragging the thread off topic.
