Serious Incident in Glasgow

Protect them from a rogue government who tries to walk over their rights.
Protect their private property.

The government has nukes, tanks and missiles, how is your dinky AR-15 going to stop that?

Sigh, whatever, this argument is pointless, the UK is never going back to gun ownership.

He seems to think that guns would've prevented this, he's either an American or a bit dim, or both. Take it from a Saffer - guns make things a lot, LOT worse.

Listen to what you just wrote

GUNS did stop this. LOL.
Its just the police used one.

Maybe only one would have died if people were armed...

Oh you want a game of wattaboutery? I'll see your question and raise you with "what if the killer had a gun?"

Or do psychos only have knives in your game?

or the guy with the will to stab 3 people to death would have killed many more with a far more effective tool of death.

there is a statistic out there showing how often guns actually help in these situations.
not many at all.

Most murders in the US are committed with illegal firearms, I'm sure your average 'terrorist' could get hold of a gun in the UK if they so wished, it's not that hard.

Interesting I've seen contradictory stats that suggest gun ownership prevents around 300,000 violent assaults p.a. in the US (murder, rape, armed robbery etc)

This seems like a really bad logic fail. How much easier do you think it is to obtain a firearm illegally in the USA than it is here?

Glasgow has definitely got a bit 'edgier' since the lockdown. Whilst I'm not suggesting the city centre is a no-go area, there seems to be a lot more violent incidents happening of late. There was a rape in the middle of the day, a hammer attack and another stabbing in the city centre over the last two days. Walking around, there are a lot more unsavory characters congregating around.

It's worth noting that Glasgow city centre is extremely small in comparison to other cities.

Hopefully this isn't spun to help the far rights recent activities in George Square. We aren't a very tolerant city, despite what many think, and this may add an extra level to that.

How often do native brits go on stabbing sprees?

Well i'm not sure about 'sprees', but stabbings are (definitely weren't in the past) hardly uncommon.

This is such a stupid argument :D So yeah because we have homegrown criminals, it's ok, lets import some more! LOL

What evidence do you have that this person was a criminal prior to this?

Clearly you know something nobody else does.
