DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor
Max temperature: 63.1°
Energy efficient: 4.01
Your CPU is SILVER SAMPLE
Recomended values for overclocking (P1 profile):
Reference voltage: 1250 mV
Reference frequency: 4625 MHz
Recomended values for overclocking (P2 profile):
Reference voltage: 1325 mV
Reference frequency: 4700 MHz
Recomended values for undervolting:
Reference voltage: 1125 mV
Reference frequency: 4375 MHz

Now if only my motherboard would stop resetting my settings every few days then that would be great.

Hi everyone, I tried to run the diagnostics, I get the following messages:

Cinebench R20 started
Cinebench stopped! 25/02/2021 21:33:21
PPT limit reached! 204.5W OC terminated!

Then the process stops.

Any Ideas?

It's OK, I sorted the problem.
Might help others if you at least say what the problem was and how you sorted it?

Kind of makes a mockery of awarded label then doesn't it. I mean, it's more a measure of how optimal your conditions are for the chip than the actual chip itself isn't?

Not really, the speed your fan runs at is an external factor that the software cannot control but you can.

My Bad, First of all my CPU is a Silver Sample.

In my Motherboard BIOS, I had the PBO Limit setting set to 'ENABLED', i found out that this setting tells the motherboard to provide the CPU with as much current as it could, which explains why my CPU temperatures were slightly on the high side.

So I changed the PBO Limit setting to 'AUTO'. After rebooting back into Windows, the benchmark was able to run after that. It looks like the benchmark didn't think that my system was safe enough to overclock and run with the setting that I had.

My CPU temperatures also came down.

So now do I go into the profile management and apply P1 or P2 profile?

Interesting....

Some AMD 5600X and 5800X CPUs come with two CCDs

https://www.kitguru.net/components/...0x-and-ryzen-7-5800x-cpus-come-with-two-ccds/

This is quite normal, it's likely that one of the CCD's for a 5900/50X was defective and it was salvaged as a 5600X or a 5800X, its the same thing as an 8 core CPU failing one or two cores is salvages as a 6 core, most 6 core CPU's are probably like this.

I just think its interesting because with this application you can see if you have one of these salvaged chips, and i have :D

Proof that this shouldn't be a problem, my sample is a golden sample and clocks well. :)
