I got bronze sample on PBO then switched to an all-core -10mv and got this:

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor
Max temperature: 66.4°
Energy efficient: 3.86
Your CPU is SILVER SAMPLE
Recomended CCX delta: 225
Theoretical maximum CCX delta: 250
Recomended values for overclocking (P1 profile):
Reference voltage: 1175 mV
Reference frequency: 4375 MHz
Recomended values for overclocking (P2 profile):
Reference voltage: 1275 mV
Reference frequency: 4500 MHz
Recomended values for undervolting:
Reference voltage: 1000 mV
Reference frequency: 4025 MHz

I don't know, my guess is the CPU becomes less efficient with PBO on.

Zen 3 is just weird, i cannot get my head around it.

If i set the EDC from 140 to 170 Amps i gain 0 performance but the CPU runs hotter, if i set it to 110 amps its crashy, if i set it to 130 Amps my performance remains exactly the same but my temps are a little lower.

Then there's the inexplicable clocks behaviour, clocks are determined by the bus and the Multiplier, so 100Mhz X 50 for 5Ghz, the multiplier on Zen 3 is in 0.25 Increments.

Ok so: when the CPU is at stock in games i get 4.85Ghz, good, in Cinebench its 4.65Ghz, this at up to and including 60c, at 61c it drops to 4.647Ghz, at 62c to 4.644Ghz, 63c 4.641Ghz.... right down to 4.610Ghz or so at high temperatures, same in game... so for every 1c over 60c the clocks drop 3 Mhz, the multiplier and bus clocks remain the same.

How the #### is it doing that???

What are you all using for cooling? I had to turn all the fans up to avoid it thermal limiting and it still hit 78c. I've got a Corsair H150i Pro XT, I shouldn't really be having this problem.

How long does this run for?

Quite a while, and frikking ages if you tick enhance accuracy. I think you can expect maybe around half an hour at least but for normal mode but I’ve never timed it.

The good news though is that the longer it runs for the better your chip is, if it ends quickly then the software has found the limits early on which means your chip is a bit pants.
