Just queued Breakthrough 6 times in a row, 4/6 were stuck in the end game state due to the attacker win bug, one had literally just 12 tickets left on my side, last one CTD. I think I'm done.

My main issue is performance. In running on a c9 but at 1080p with a gtx 1080 and ryzen 3700x. Regardless of whether I set it to low or ultra my fos seems to hover between 40-60 but feels mega jerky and not very responsive. Seems pretty fun though. I've read someone saying I need to turn off smt which is ridiculous to have to do that when every other game works fine. No crashes though, although my experience with bf games is that they are very sensitive to unstable overclocks.

^I did snipe someone with the start sniper rifle from one of those ospreys. Was very satisfying.

Main game needs a server browser and persistent servers. At the moment there's no continuity between rounds and it takes too long to get back into a game. You could end up on the same map or in a round that's near finished.

Level 42 now, still enjoying, not visited Portal much as I don't you get proper XP? But played Arica Habour - love the memories Portal brings, when it's fixed and can see this being the only thing I play.
8X scopes on DRMs pwn, my maxed out M5A2 is still the best assault rifle. I turned off RT and I'm getting between 70-90 fps now maxed out on everything else and feels much smoother

My biggest issue with this at the moment is lack of persistent Portal servers, and a server browser for the main game. Gameplay issues aside, they've completely nerfed the ability to play with friends, or the same bunch of people on the same server.

There are lots of gameplay issues, and I don't like jumping on the hate bandwagon but it barely feels like a battlefield game at the moment. I hope Portal comes good, I was playing on a server called 'Betterfield 2042' and it was almost good.

Thinking this is getting about as much hate at launch as BF4 did except reviewing bombing wasn't a thing back then. BF4 was fixed 6-12 month later and is regarded as one the top 3 BF games to date. I'm betting this might end up the same way.

I suspect it will also end up being very good (especially since EA/DICE are getting absolutely battered so they "need" to give this game all the time, effort and money they can if they want to redeem themselves and save the BF franchise) however, one problem, BF 4 despite its issues was a lot of fun and nowhere near as bad as BF 2042 launch/current state so the question is, will people care about BF 2042 by the time that happens? Especially since BF 4 was one of a kind/had less competition back then, these days, you've got a lot in the MP FPS arena.

So far, the only saving grace for this game is and will be the portal imo and I won't be surprised if dice/ea will bring more maps/content for them than the main game itself. The main game maps are pretty damn awful.

After trying it for a few hours I must say it really is as bad as everyone says. Portal is also very underwhelming. Everything just feels off.

It's the guns you start with, they're all broken and difficult to use. Once you unlock the second SMG the game starts to sing a bit. Mackay is quite good to use as he's high mobility so good for strafing.

I might actually be having fun with this game now.

Removing the class system and the weapon/gadget restrictions that came with it has destroyed the fundamental balance of the game. They aren’t going to be able to fix this as they want to make money selling more specialist characters.
