Best to download a trial version and test it before, your experience may be better than mine but it is well known how the performance is.
I've never found it any slower than LR. But then again that may be down to my pc as per sig.
Its a steal for the price. Its a very very competent photo editing suite. You would need to spend considerably more to get anything better IMO.

Luminar compliments Affinity pretty well - they are quite different applications. For RAW image enhancement Luminar wipes the floor with AP - but for actual editing/manipulation you need AP.

JL are selling a little 40.5mm Hoya UV filter for a rather silly £2.93 at the min. Good for protecting the A7C's kit lens, or the Samyang 35mm.

Just noticed the Panasonic G9 being sold new for £799 on Amazon, this is the cheapest I've seen it for a very long time, close to 2 years.
I have a G9 and it makes for a great photography camera as well as a very good video tool, especially if you want something for B Roll or a very good camera for making YouTube videos.
It might be a few years old but Panasonic have kept it up to date with firmware after firmware.
The Autofocus issue is not as near as bad as people make it out to be and if you are taking stills, the AF is as good as any phase detect system.

The Sony RX100 series of cameras are good shout. Look for the more recent models, used. Otherwise, if you are looking at new, I'd ask which phone you currently have and are you intending to upgrade anytime soon?
