Kitchen Refresh - cheap flooring suggestions please

Just to note that the click doesn't need adhesive, so your main cost will be the flooring, underlay and any leveling component.

Kitchen Refresh - cheap flooring suggestions please

It depends how bad the floor is, the vinyl is 5mm thick but flexible, so any imperfections in the floor can show through or you will feel them when walking on it. I used a few tubs of self levelling compound on our kitchen floor to level out the worst parts and it's been fine.

Kitchen Refresh - cheap flooring suggestions please

We went for Amtico click vinyl in our kitchen and I've just got some more to finish the bathroom refurb. We picked it as it's easy to clean and hard wearing stuff as we have a dog. Ring around a few local flooring stores and you can get it for a good price. I paid £ 27 per m2 for the bathroom...

Can you not get a warranty replacement? I got one of these a few years ago and it's still going strong despite daily use right outside our back door.

    Wall mounting tv and equipment

Did this in our lounge a couple of years ago with a wall mounted IKEA bestå TV unit. We don't have quite as many devices as you so we used one glass fronted cabinet in the centre.. Can't find a photo of it all finished, here's what it looked like when I was testing the network/Sky etc.

*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

Just finished the annual Sky cancellation dance through the thinking of coming back? site, resulting in 60% off TV (standard box sets) and 50% off line rental and fibre for 12 months.

    Blackout material and velcro

As above, I've used self-adhesive velcro strips and home-made "blind" material to mimic shutters on the windows when the French family visit. Works a treat.

    Black Desert Online

Enjoying the game so far, spent most of last night letting my creativity run wild in the character creation screen :D Rolled a few characters and played a Valkyrie to 12 this evening. There's a lot to take in however I like that this game has the combat style of GW2 blended with elements from...

Multiple items needed in here please

Stay away from the "cloth" stuff that's popular in B&Q and the like this time of year, it's pants. The woven plastic stuff like this won't disintegrate at the first sign of rain.

    Solar garden lights...

Subscribed :) Same as both of you, however as well as brightness I'm also concerned at how much sun and how long solar lights need to charge to actually work.

Has anyone cut their grass yet?

Same, mines heavy clay and still hasn't recovered yet from the last heavy rain we had a while ago. Looks a mess, I really need to get some drainage sorted come spring.

    LED Bulb Thread

In my experience every GU10 LED I've used are warm to touch after being switched on for a while, but nowhere near as hot as a halogen.

    LED Bulb Thread

I replaced 10 halogens in our kitchen with these GU10 LEDs recently and I'm really pleased with them. They're just as bright if not slightly brighter than the old bulbs and to be honest I reckon the 6W ones would have been fine. I've had the 6W bulbs in our main bathroom for nearly a year and...

    Upgrade Help

Morning all, I'm a bit out of date with hardware trends as my last upgrade was four years ago, so I could use some help. I have around 50 notes for a RAM upgrade, based on budget I'm looking at an 8GB kit. The goal is to be able to play GTA V for more than 5 minutes without having to reboot...

    Sky Fibre Optic

That's a bummer, still a fab deal on the phone & broadband though. I'm thinking of ditching our Sky TV, we only have the basic plus HD and hardly ever watch non-freeview channels. But I'm hoping I may be able to score a similar deal on the phone & broadband. Does anyone happen to know if the...
