AMD To Launch RV770 On June 18th

if ATI are using xfire to get a win i really hope there are no issues.

and that it works in a vast majority of games

but the question is.. how much faster in almost all recent and not so recent games? :)

we already know the new cards will be killers in source games

The 3870X2 was (and is) a really nice solution.

I didn't experience any serious issues with it during my ownership (except one that was down to a faulty motherboard).

All games ran brilliantly, and at full speed.

I had more issues with my 8800GT than I did with the X2. I'd say ATi have this kind of thing down to a tee.

Roll on 4870 x2 for me then (as I don't wnat to upgrade to a new mobo for xfire to get 2x 8x lanes or 2x 16x)

French shop has the 4850 listed in stock for sale at €154.90 but they guy says that place usually has high prices and expects them to be around €140 mark.

Increasing my hopes(albeit small) that the 4870 will debut at £200...:P

When you say full speed, do you mean smoothly or 90+% xfire speed? :D

if only it were true about xfire working that great in every or almost every game. But i guess it must be near that at least in 50% of games?
