AMD To Launch RV770 On June 18th

Owen most of us are getting a little exciterd about xfired 4850's where there are real benchmarks to back up the opinion that xfired they are damn good and compete with the best. So much defensiveness going on lately anyone would think this was a forum just for Nvidia or Ati stockholders.

True, I would hope its more like 2.4.

However this is a benchmark from another thread (he has just got his card) and he's only running a C2D E6600 @ 3.2 and pulled a higher score!

Stock Q6600 + 8800GTX will get about 12.5K

Stock Q6600 + 8800Ultra will get about 13K

Stock Q6600+ GTX 260 will get about 15K


TBH though we all know to take 3Dmark06 results with a pinch of salt.
 
How things change when the Ati cards whooped nvidia in 3dmark it was the lousiest program in the world and couldn't be trusted whatsoever now it's the other way round all of a sudden 3dmark is this great program for comparing cards. I guess the saying is true hang around long enough and everything comes full circle :). Also remember how the 3dmark comparisons used to work Ati were gods on it but in real life were way behind so maybe thats how it is now for nvidia cards. One of the reasons why i believe Ati have got it right is because we havn't had Raven on here mocking people he is probably crying somewhere fir his beloved nvidia :D.
 
Question,

If they crank all these Cards out in Taiwan/China How the hell do they get them around the world within a week ?..without the obvious (expensive airfreight)
 
His tests are screwed up, it says he benched in DX10 which he has selected but all the settings are still on high and not very high, why not bench at max settings...:o
