Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

Oh, it much lower than mine! about 6 degrees lower. What vcore did you use ? Did you use a push pull fan or just a single fan ? How long it been full load for ?

1.232 vcore
single fan that comes with the cooler

73'C load after 1 hour [time enough to meach max temp]

used mx2 rather than stock paste

lol what is this all about my Titan Fenrir 3 hours prime 95 reaches 78oc max on the hottest core... (small FFT's).... with one fan vcore 1.26V 4ghz clock

and i havent even tested with my lapped True with push pull Sharkoon Silent eagle fans... temps aint all that fantastic for the H50

Tbh its basically the same temps as my air cooler so not really looking to buy it.

it is really quiet though
quieter than a noctua 1366 cooler

thats where the advantage lies

plus it is really compact

im tempted to make a lian li mATX cube with a Rampage Gene and this cooler as i could fit it into a Matx case and it would produce better results [there are no low profile compact coolers that perform this well

i normally see things like this and think 'FAIL' straight away - i openly admit i am a hardware snob :D

but this little beaut isnt half bad

on a side note - it is made by asetek - who are very good and an OEM manufacturer for the big box shifters
corsair just slap their logo on it by the looks of things - more info here

would it be possible to mount the rad/fans elsewhere or are the preplumbed tubes too short?

At this price i'd be interested in one mounted to the roof of my gt900 if it'd reach - presumably the block can be mounted rotated by 90 or 180 degrees thus pointing the tubes and rad towards the roof?

Think i'm being too optimistic though- would need a fair bit of slack to miss the psu.

got to say been really impressed by this cooler, ran some test's last night & kept results
Q9550, 3.8 with 1.27-8volts. room temp 23-24c

intelburntest ran 5 times at high, cooling Scythe infinity with push/pull 120mm fans, 2x 200mm fans & 1x120mm fan
scythe.jpg

as you can see max temps in that run 83C :(

with corsiar cooler with 120mm fan, cooling 2x 200mm fans, 1x120mm
same test
cooler.jpg

max temps 67c, nice drop of 16c, we all know this bring's the max heat from cpu :)

prime 95, ran for 1 hour on scythe cooler max on all cores was 74c
running prime as type, been running 45 mins not one core has went over 49c.

will try out different combo's on fans to see if get any cooler, got another 2 lying around but no screws left lol

verdict from me
cooling 9/10
noise 8/10 ( better fans will help)
fitting : Easy

It been the same temperature last night at 78C overnight and ran to 12 hours full load on prime95 blend test with H50. Not bad for 78C. However, I did removed the H50 off and re-apply paste again. This time after 4 hours full load, the temperature is even better than yesterday with top temperature of 73C, 72C, 68C, 66C after being idle at 37c, 37c, 36c, 35c with vcore at 1.23v at windows and 1.26v at bios with 4Ghz with 200 x 20 with 1 fan that come with the cooler as a corsair fan 1600rpm . I am now going to stick with it, not going to change as very happy with the overall result. I am going to try to push it to 4.2Ghz tonight.

Pretty nice Rab, im running a q9550 on air with a TRUE black at 3.8ghz, albeit im on a fair bit lower voltage than yourself (1.216) but my temps are 54-50-46-46, nice to see how the H50 runs on a s775 setup.
