Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

just ordered 1 of these, will be here frid, will post some results, can only compare it to my scythe with 2x 120 fans, but hoping it gonna be a lot quieter & a few degrees cooler.
the now, 6 runs of intelburn test & all cores betwen 75-80c, 3+ hours of prime & all cores 63-70c, so hoping for some improvement :) this at 3.8 & 1.27v on core

Looking forward to the results Rab, looks a decent enough unit.
Not as good as a decent water cooling setup but its not expected to be, but if its on par or near enough to high end air cool then i may sway to one of these when i upgrade soon.

I bought one of these last night, but bought 2 Noctua 120mm fans to go with it instead of using the stock fan. It should improve cooling, and be quieter but at a slightly more expensive cost. All in I think it cost me about £90. (h50 + 2 Noctua Fans)

I still got Corsair H50 in the cupboard, but I think I could skip the Corsair fan with 1600rpm and purchase two fans of 1900rpm here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-022-SY&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=4 and try go for a push pull with MX-2 Thermal paste.

Is this fan 'Scythe Kaze Jyuni 1900RPM Slip Stream 120mm Fan' will make it lots better and even better than the Corsair fan ?

Ok guys, based on testing of two of these units we are getting in a LOT of these. (Read hundreds!)

We will do a proper review when we get chance but you will not be dissapointed, I have publically eaten my words to the Corsair reps on the performance of this unit.

Here is the news post and pre-order info: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/news.php#1939 :)

Is there any chance for you to test out 2 x 'Scythe Kaze Jyuni 1900RPM Slip Stream 120mm Fan' as a push pull with H50 with a review ?

We are looking into a Push Pull Apache fan setup which is comparable to what you are looking at. :)

I did try these as I had H50 and two fans of Apache push pull but temperature were too high at idle 48, 46, 47, 45 and full load at 84, 83, 79, 80 on 4Ghz at vcore of 1.3v

(Apart from the review somewhere on the site that the H50 temperature never went over 74C on the i7 965 @ 3.8Ghz at 1.3v vcore).

I'll look into getting one of these next month, they seem ideal for me - there's no space for me to put a massive tower on my CPU as it will block my RAM and a real watercooling rig seems excessive.

after i buy it OC stock it :P to late now. paid £3 more than OC selling & £4 del, wish i knew you was getting these in:(
about the push/pull on these, of the reviews i read, 2 reviews said there was really nothing in it going that way, will never know myself till i try thou, may get 2 of those 1900rpm fans:)

It's mounted on the back which is probably why it didn't fare to well. dunno if it is pushing or pulling aswell as you can't really see. Their excuse according to the comment posted by author is that the ram gets in the way with 'a large CPU cooler'. I'm sure they could have easily put a fan there looking at the gap but would probably mean the true was on par or better than the H50.

If it's pushing it's going against case airflow, if it's pulling then why bother?

Either way - they were doing it wrong.

The marketroid did step up in the comments and half ass something about not being able to fit a fan on in the normal recommended way because his RAM coolers blocked it which is a fair point - but it's not realistic. So that whole video is BS.

Also the true has silver tape stuck over top. Maybe it wraps round other side to block airflow aswell :). Is a nice cooler though if thats what your after but I'd still rather go with a full custom watercooling system over something that performs just about the same as a good air cooler.

can I say custom water cooling all the way? :D this product is all well and good but if it produces the same results as a custom water cooling kit, then I guess people will start going for something like this...but if you want to see real results then custom is the way to go...it is nice to good temps from this...and the pics appear to justify that...let's see what the OcUK boys can do ;)

my corsair was fitted with 2x slipstreams 1900rpms and temps were about the same as with the stock fan at 1600rpm and a scythe slipstream volted down to 1600rpm, I'm gonna fit my two apaches to it when i've got my new case....

two slipstreams running full pelt is a bit noisy.
