My journey out of obesity

Cheers for your input FF always appreciated :).
I'm following a diet thats been set out for me by one of the guys over at Healthy Action who by all accounts really seem to know their stuff so I'l be sticking to that for the time being and see how I progress.

That's cool, I thought you were being looked after, just wanted to share my words of "wisdom" LOL!

KEep at it mate. The proof is evident that it's working well.

And what foods typically contain these?

PRocessed foods, they don't appear naturally so look on the packaging. Usually biscuits, cakes, some baked goods, etc...

I've posted a few of my thoughts on fat in the "fat loss / low carb" thread quoting Ben and editing his post. :)

Month old pictures on the right newest on the right, I've changed the pictures that I put up earlier to some higher quality ones

Legs and Shoulders
Squats 1x8 65kg 2x8 60kg
Seated calf raises 4x10 90kg
HC2PP 1x8 32.5kg 2x8 30kg
Lat raise 2x8 8kg 1x8 6kg

My shoulders were on fire after this

Good stuff mate. Making progress :)

Try and keep the lighting the same in the photos will show you progress better. Deffinate change in shape and your stomachs slimming nicely.

HC2PP is the daddy.

Cheers for the kind words guys :)
Just thought of something I noticed in the gym the other day, I get some really funny looks when I dare to unrack the Oly bar from the uprights on the bench to do deads and HC2PP.
It worries me that not one other person in the gym actually moves it.

I am doing squats, military presses, bench presses, pendlay rows and deadlifts in a squat rack.

Can you imagine the looks I get :p.

The squat rack is the lease used bit of free weight equipment in the gym I use TBH so it is rare for someone to want to use it. Means there is no pressure to get off it and no waiting..

I wouldn't worry.

Most people think when the bars loaded for PC2PP that I'm deadlifting and a look of horror comes accross their face when it flies up.

It's not a very serious gym with many experienced lifters. However if it's a busy period I normally wouldn't use the only oly bar we have. But there's DB's & benches, a smith and a chest press if someones desperate to chest press.

They've got the old oly bar out back me and my ex partner managed to bend :p

Back and triceps
Deads 1x8 90kg 2x8 92.5kg I think the fact the bar totally rips my hands up is keeping this a bit lower than it should be
Assisted pull up 2x8 12
Assisted dips 3x8 9
DB row 3x8 18kg
Tri push down 3x8 4plates
Good mornings 1x8 30kg 2x8 35kg

So thats everything apart from pull ups and rows showing a nice improvement since last week :)
Also I've just managed to accidently drop a whole 750g bag of stir fry veg into my wok so I'm eating a family size stir fry at least in veg :D

Feeling a bit run down today but headed to the gym anyway.
Didnt suffer any drops in weight although it was much more difficult to push the weight today that was fine last week

Chest and Biceps
BB Bench press 2x8 70kg 1x8 72.5kg
DB incline press 3x8 20kg
Cable cross overs 1x8 4plates 2x8 3plates
BB curls 3x8 25kg

Had a week and a bit out of the gym due to a cold and starting some new regular hours at work.

Chest and Biceps
DB Bench press 3x8 26kg
DB Incline press 1x8 20kg 2x8 22kg
BB Curls 3x8 25kg
DB Flys 3x8 14kg

Couple of new pics, newest on the right last months on the left. Cant see any improvements, personally I think I'm looking a bit worse due to my time off

I cant afford to get shorter im already a midget :( lol cheers for the nice words.
Just knocked up some pics so I could see how far I've come since Jan, nowhere near as impressive as some of the guys on here but not bad considering how many little breaks and slips off the wagon I've had

Impressive pics mate. V taper is much improved, a lot of fat gone off the old belly and hips and really nice gain on the lats and chest. Keep it up :)

What Dun said.

I can see the improvments. Your back shot might not look any slimmer as you've dropped fat and then replaced it with Lat muscle. Deffinate progress mate, keep it up!

Looking bigger in terms of muscle mass, it's looking "harder" too rather than soft. Definite progress, waist is more slender too. Keep it up, putting on or keeping muscle whilst losing fat ain't easy! Good work mate! :)

Well its only been 3 months since I forgot about this thread so quick update.

No massive changes, but I've been getting a fair few comments the last few weeks about looking much better especially from the ladies so I've had a rather large grin going on :D.

Also my cardio fitness seems to have rocketed, which is good times.

weight 90kg -2.5kg
neck 15.5" -0.5"
chest 42" -2.5"
upper arm 15 -0.5"
stomach 35" -1.5"
thigh 24.75" +1"
calf 15.5 no change

and just a really crap photo from the changing room that I like purely because its got the smallest hint of apollos belt :p
