If you purchased it online I believe it can take a few months (no idea why) to update your warranty information on the website, but yes you do auto qualify. If you purchased it in store it might be different.

You definitely won't get the Apple Care if you buy in store even if you get HE discount.

Was thinking of doing this too, when you did finance does it give instant decision?
It does but you then have to print off a PDF agreement and send it along with a recent bill to the finance company - once they have everything that authorise Apple to despatch.
It works out at £32 / month for 3 years.

I'd be in debt for three years and pay interest. That's what would happen. That and some ear ache from the wife but the debt would last longer.
Cash + HE Store is a much better way!
pahah, be she would go mad. This is the main thing attracting me to apple, the prices are higher then PC counterparts but in the price you not only get the amazing build quality and good OS, but you get 3 years warrenty.

Does the new MBA have keyboard illumination? According to this manual it does (for the old one?)

I believe I remember Steve Jobs saying the keyboards are illuminated on the new models...

From looking at the website and videos it doesn't appear to have keyboard illumination. If you look at the tech specs for Macbook Pro and then look at the same page for Macbook Air you can see that.
Might be best to wait for a review.
