No it's an excellent price considering it's a damn site cheaper than a few of the 480 cards that same company stocks! :eek:

Yup, I got that e-mail too. And of course this won't necessarily be the cheapest price post release.

Is there any point in buying a card that expensive anymore? Doesn't the 6870/5870 run pretty much everything maxed out up to 2560x1600?

I doubt anything intensive like Metro 2033 is gonna be out until...well, Metro 2034. That'll probably use the same engine anyway.

Only thing I'd consider spending a bit more on is The Witcher 2 because that looks incredible graphics wise.
