Just unpacked my Glass C version. And oh my word this thing is gorgeous!!

its pretty noticeable on dark backgrounds, is it possible to return for a monitor that has no pixel defect?

OK - I assumed that if the card was not dual link, then I would be able to run the monitor at the reduced resolution of 1600x1200 until I get a new card. However, I get no image whatsoever (just a noisy scrambled duplicated image with a big black bar down the center. Is this to be expected?
Monitor is fine on sons pc with newer graphics card.

Bought a HZ27wc Glass version, the screen is stunning, no dead pixels or dust. Great Job Hazro!
As comes with ordereing the glass version, super reflective, i can see myself in the blue of the forum right now, and it smudges very easy, guess that comes with the territory. Colours, gobsmacking.
Now the down sides, Nvidia control panel wouldnt allow me to adjust resolution (tried all the usual method bar a new driver), I had to use Powerstrip, now all good.
Lack of any OSD is annoying, having to adjust the luminance by eye is a bit hit and miss, colour reproduction out the box seems perfect, that said, Im no photographer but im chuffed with it.
Lack of a scaler, means to my mind that anything but the glorious 2560 x 1440 looks pretty bad.
The stand is as cheap and nasty as it seems, definetly seems to droop downwards, and after fiddling with back screws i have got it to tilt upwards, but it seems to be kind of balancing there, bit worried the screen might fall flat on its face with a gust of wind.
Role on that Hazro after market stand because this bit of plastic is just nasty.
All said, 390 all in, amazing, faultless panel, shocking stand. A seemingly necessary evil for the money.

BUT.... LOVE it.. well done HAZRO!
Ohh and no dust or stuck pixels either.. but the pixels are so small it won't be easy to spot even if there was one.

I just got the glass C version. Currently driving it with a GTX 260, which does not detect it, even though it sets the resolution correctly (though in the control panel the resolution and monitor detection is blank). It also does not detect the HDCP. Anyone know how to get round this? I need a new graphics card anyway, so I'll probably go for a Radeon.

I also have an HD laptop with a glossy screen, and again the glass version on the Hazro just looks stunning in comparison. Yes, it's reflective and I don't know why glass should make it look any clearer, it just does. I originally ordered the glass version, then changed it to the glass-less one, then swapped it back again. After reading the first comments on the glass-less ones, I wished I had changed my mind again, but this one had already shipped. I'm glad I couldn't now. I notice the price has only gone up by £10.00, still an absolute bargain. I just hope there's a fix for the HDCP.

Just bit the bullet and ordered one of these, not sure how I'm going to tweak things yet as I currently run a 40 inch LED TV and a 20 inch widescreen... dont think the LED and how close I sit to it is doing my eyes any good so that may end up as a TV downstairs, unsure as yet.
I promised my subjective review of the Hazro HZ27WA glassless vs. 20WGX² Pro.
I purchased the 20WGX² Pro more than four years ago and it cost me £330. It is a 1680x1050 AS-IPS screen. The AS means a fast response version of IPS. The screen is reflective and I use the following settings which gave superb colours at a slight trade vs. black level:
Brightness 54.6
Contrast 50.0
Advanced DV Off
DV Mode Standard
RGB Native
Sharpness 16.6
DDC/CI On
I purchased the HZ27WA yesterday for £480. It is a 2560x1440 LED S-IPS screen. The S means best viewing angles but not quite so good response times as AS. Out of the box calibration is pretty good but the colours are slightly washed out to my eyes. Changing colour temp to warm helped but after a bit of tinkering I quite like the following settings:
Brightness 30
Contrast 90
Sharpness 50
Colour Temp User - Red 30 - Green 22 - Blue 30
DCR Off
ECO 50
Note – memory recall changes language to Korean and sets input to VGA, both of which have to be manually corrected.
Comparing the two screens the Hazro is slightly less reflective but quite similar to look at. With these settings the colours on both monitors look very similar. If you like the NEC you are going to like the Hazro. I really don’t like AG coating the Dell u2711 or HP ZR24W have. I actually purchased the ZR24W last year but sold it on and went back to the 20WGX² Pro.
The Hazro is quite heavy but is slimmer despite its size. I think the bezel looks quite nice and the OSD buttons behind the bezel make the lines clean but are a bit of a pain to use. I wish it was possible to move the OSD more than halfway across the screen from the left!
The Hazro LED backlight uniformity seems fine; I’m not picking up any issues. I’m not particularly looking for stuck/dead pixels and pleasingly haven’t noticed anything yet and I think by now I would have picked up any that were going to bother me.
With a black background I can detect a bit of IPS glow (white) on the Hazro but less than the NEC which has an IPS purple glow especially when seen from an angle. The HP ZR24W had far worse IPS glow (white). Considering the size of the Hazro I think it is excellent in this respect.
The Hazro is a little slower when switching between resolutions than the NEC.
The Hazro stand is not great but it doesn’t wobble and with a monitor this size ideally I would only want it about an inch or two higher so I might not bother about a height adj stand.
TBH I am chuffed to bits with this monitor, it was a bit of gamble considering the price after what I read about the dust problems. But the glassless option has removed that problem and I think the H2 glare coating looks fine if maybe not offering quite the same protection against accidentally scratching etc.
Only just started with games but I have noticed that games that don;t have widescreen resolutions as standard i.e. 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 scale with black bars on each side, which I actually prefer as the conformity of the game is closer than if overstretched.
That’s it for now I’ve posted a few more pics of both monitors for what they are worth.

When I first plugged in my HZ27WC I was left with an empty black screen, and after rebooting in 640x480 it displayed two scrambled duplicates of my Windows desktop, just like you describe.
The problem was that GPU image scaling wasn't turned on in the graphics preferences. With that activated it scales the image at different resolutions just as well as any other monitor I've used.
That's using ATI onboard graphics and Catalyst drivers, but maybe there's a similar option for your card.

Got mine today too. Quality of the screen is indeed very good. Really quite impressive.
I could highlight two flaws though where i guess costs play a part. I don't have a dead pixel per say, but what appears to be some dust or a smudge trapped in the LCD screen itself (i have a NONE glass version). It's not super noticeable but does show it self almost as if the screen is slightly smudged in an area on the right hand side, visible on white backgrounds.
The other issue and a much bigger issue is the rather loud buzzing noise the monitor makes. TFT central highlighted the issue in their review but i must say the noise is much louder than i expected.
When viewing dark backgrounds like these forums the monitor is completely silent, but if you view something very white, for example a Wikipedia page then the screen makes a rather loud buzzing sound. The loudness is subjective i guess but it's at least 2-3 times the loudness of my entire computer so i'd say it's pretty loud IMO. Hugely noticeable and very distracting.
So while the cost is great for this high quality LCD panel, you can certainly see (or hear!) where the cost is saved. Quite frankly the screen sounds like it's going to last about 5 minutes with the noises it makes.
Also the bezels are pretty huge, at least 30-50% thicker than those on my old 24inch Dell. The monitor doesn't look bad at all, no, but don't expect a thin sleek bezel design. My bezel is also quite poorly fitting (imo) and bend and flex to no end when pressed. Again my Dell bezels were super solid.
if you can overcome the short comings it's certainly a good price for the kit no doubt, but i'm afraid to say you can see where the corners are cut to get a £700-900 monitor out the door at £380-480. It's a lovely monitor to look at and appears very very impressive to behold, but it does lack the solid high quality build of the more expensive models.

I got a WA, for about 2 weeks, now. The noise is audible only with the ear close to its back, and I have a very silent computer and environment (some birds, right now…). I would say yours is not normal, and I would try to exchange for another one (or send it back and buy another).

That buzzing as described is way too loud. My WA is not noticeable from 2-3 feet away. I had a Panasonic plasma from new which buzzed loudly and it was replaced in the first 30 days.
Just picked up my WC version this morning. Very impressed so far! Went for the non glass version and i'm quite glad! I have a window directly behind me and the reflection is not really any worse than my old matt screen (24" DGM VA).
Colours, contrast, sharpness and viewing angles all seem excellent
I have set the brightness to one above bottom and it feels about right.
Only issue so far is quite bad back light bleed on the left edge of the screen. I will see what it is like tonight, but does anyone know what the returns policy would be on back light bleed?
I will put some photos up of it soon comparing it to the 24" DGM

received the glassed WC version this morning. No dust.. no dead pixels.. [thanks HAZRO].. am absolutely blown away by how incredible this monitor is.. bye bye TN monitors!! will never go back now!
The Witcher 2 looks fantastic! Bad Company 2 is amazing! No blurring to speak of ... input lag rated exceptionally low by TFTCentral so it feels like my old Samsung 226BW in most respects.
The glare i will have to get used to.. but considering how much better images look with the glass coating i'm prepared to board up my windows and paint my games room black if need be

just set up my old DGM next to this new Hazro, massive difference!!
The hazro has so much better contrast and colours. The DGM looks really washed out in comparison. The blacks on the Hazro are far deaper. Also the colour ballance between the two is quite differenet. I think i might buy a calibrator...
Intersting note on reflections between the two screens. The shiny Hazro has a dim but mirror reflection of windows in the background. The Matt DGM has a much more diffused reflection, this results in a larger area of the screen becoming more washed out. I think i prefer the reflections on the gloss Hazro as it just affects the one part with the relefction and not the rest of the screen.

Looks to be a massive difference in clarity, glossy AG coatings are the business. It's like looking through a crystal clear window on to the outside world as opposed to looking through a dirty window with a monitor with overdone AG, could never understand paying big bucks for a monitor only to have the IQ effected badly by the choice of AG coating.
