Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of overclocking lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door
Only this, and nothing more.'

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,

But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,

That I scarce was sure I heard you' - here I opened wide the door;
Darkness there, and nothing more.

Now, what's this, a box just left there; left for me but with no sender,
Glancing round, quickly I retrieved the parcel from the floor;
By now my heart was quickly beating, burger case sat there (no eating!)
Reaching over for a knife now, carefully I made the score,
One by one the flaps were opened, by right now I knew the score,
A VTX3D and nothing more.

Oh, at first I had been napping, now so keen I'm almost clapping,
Overclockers finally sent it, HD graphics I adore;
A pic of Ruby staring at me, colouring it suits her aptly,
Finally, into the system, cabled to the power core,
Button pressed but nothing happens, DOA? Not anymore,
Kettle lead was on the floor.

PCI-Express x sixteen, the display so crisp and pristine,
So much fun I'd have for sure with high-res games now to explore;
Graphics options all are maxed out, screenshots on forums I'll flout,
Benchmarks they could wait 'til later, I need my fix of blood and gore,
But as I booted up minecraft, I saw that screen we all abhor,
STOP 0x0004

But then my problems had a sequal, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
So why must this start happening now, to find the cause I did explore.
I forgot to update drivers; thanks to this forums great advisers,
Reboot and it was all working, but now I had to be sure,
Finally I began in earnest, futuremark testing galore
+9000 3dmark score

Edit: Disclaimer for those who didn't know/realise, this is based upon the poem The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. First two verses are almost entirely his, the rest are all mine. I included the first two so people would recognise the poem/rythem of lines I was going for. Hopefully this doesn't disqualify me, but as some people seemed to think this was a totally original work by me, which it wasn't, only the last 4 verses. Which is still a lot of poem! :D

It is to be pondered

from many a work day absconded,
to avoidance of forum admonish.

There once was a girl named Ruby,
She made a graphics card called 6870 from VTX3D,
Many people wanted it to go in their current PC,
I think I should win but lets wait and see.

Overclockers thought they should give it to me,
However they did not know what I had instore for thee,
They fought to the core to find a winner,
What a load of rubbish I am the winner!,
I guess its now time for dinner.
