Revo, I'd manually set the fans quite high than relying on Auto for benching, more so for SLI when you acquire your new card.

Btw, appears the 7970/7950 has zapped demand for the GTX590 otherwise why is there non listed (?), plenty of GTX580s though (£400 average price). Some good scores too of the GTX590.

I was checking the official tables and noticed that one of them may be SLI than what was typed: "44. Mrnob (GTX570) - 2138". A single GTX570 scores an average of 1200 points which makes it seem possible it's SLI.

HD7970 @ 1195/1600 (core/mem) 1.3V Core - System 2600K @ 4.6Ghz - All CCC settings untouched

Hmm.. raising core 5 and re-running gets much better min fps but not much better score.

So here @ 1200/1600 (core/mem)

No graphical glitches, but fan at 50% and case fans pushing max air in and out of the case near the card. Really for long term sanity a waterblock at these speeds makes sense.
So, min fps is just luck really, I think it depends how long you let it run the demo before you start the bench, probably cacheing textures perhaps.

You're making me want to swap my gtx470's so bad...

Just ran usuing Quadfire, and proves how the drivers suck, will post piccie later as at work, but last night got 57fps average @5760x1080 and highest recorded was 112fps. To put this in perspective, when I had trifire I got 47fps average and 100fps maximum... so just to show it's not scaling as well as trifire which we all knew.

Well, in quadfire@5760x1080, managed... and temps were toasty on default settings highest hitting 95C then the fans really kicked in...

Quadfire v's Trifire... 18% improvement in average fps and 10% improvement in maximum fps. Certainly not the scaling you got from single > dual > tri 6970's... proving drivers are just crud on quadfire.

Highest I am going to get with a single 7970 without water. (dont even have ccc start with windows)

Sorry to moan but I'm glad I didn't check this page update on my phone, that 2MB image would have used up the rest of my allowance for the day on pay as you go. Please save as a progressive GIF (80% quality with IrfanView) for a 520KB image, this maintains the text quality of Afterburner OSD and looks identical in quality on my calibrated screen. If everyone saved and posted PNGs these pages would slow to a crawl. Thanks :)

Changed my post for the people with slow internet connections, as for data usage why would you view a post you knew was going to have images inside when 2MB would send you over.
