@Deception, did you get hold of a second GTX 470, did notice you posted for one in the Wanted section a little while back?

Nope, still using a single one. Didn't get a reply back (apart from the GTX 465, but dont know how that would work as i dont know if its flashed to 470). So waiting for one to pop up. :(. Really need one as im using an 120hz monitor and really need the FPS at the moment (although I still get 120 with settings turned down on BF3).

Sorry for the lack of updates guys, been really busy with reviews lately. Congrats to pazza who takes top spot from Gibbo who never got the chance to bask in his glory :(. Hopefully he will make a comeback soon enough;).

Here is mine: MSI 460 GTX Hawk Edition Sli. Spec In Sig

My first GPU O/C - Sapphire 5850 Reference

Hey guys ! - please be gentle, no competition for your SLI / XFIRE peeps but this is my first GPU O/C and think I've got some good results. I used MSI Afterburner to overclock the card.

Sapphire ATI Radeon 5850 1GB Reference Card

BIOS = Stock
Core Voltage (mV) = 1187
Core Clock (MHz) = 975
Memory Clock (MHz) = 1250

Been watching this thread since I bought my 7970 card and it seems it scores pretty high after my recent OC session.
Wanted to put the score up here and see how long it lasts.

This is my latest result (1235/1725 @1.275V);

Had another go with my Sapphire 5850, couldn't get any higher than 995MHz on the core or 1290MHz on the memory without the driver crashing (increased core voltage to 1250mV maximum and was starting to overheat 80C+).

In Furmark I noticed that increasing memory clock proportionate to core clock gave a good FPS increase but in Unigine it doesn't give the same performance boost (Unigine seems to prefer core clock over memory clock).

Looks like this is my limit unless I replace the stock cooler.

BIOS = Stock
Core Voltage (mV) = 1225
Core Clock (MHz) = 995
Memory Clock (MHz) = 1250

Max voltage limit is 1.3V, and safe temps are the other side of 90c if your brave matey :) go on! crack the 1Ghz :D

Was just about to go to bed and saw your reply :) - couldn't resist another crack at it. May try for 1015MHz tomorrow but it really is time for sleep now LOL!

I noticed that if I run the memory clock at 1300MHz it stutters and stalls quite a bit but lowering it to 1290MHz makes it smooth again (guess this must be the error checking kicking in on the GDDR5 ram?).

BIOS = Stock
Core Voltage (mV) = 1274
Core Clock (MHz) = 1005
Memory Clock (MHz) = 1290
