Still won't believe it until he's in a Leeds shirt and considering he's on a wage bigger than our squad put together what could we off in terms of contributions? 1%?

Probably just a fiver a week and an assurance that he starts the rest of the games this season.

At least it show's going to Leicester's game plan of buy everyone wasn't the best idea.

Arsenal shouldn't offer RVP 150k a week, though I'd be very happy for Arsenal to break this ridiculous "kinda even pay" structure, Wenger has always been intent on keeping it and is entirely responsible for our monumental wage bill, if we put one player on 150k, I dread, literally dread to think what he'll offer Walcott.

But as people have said, if it was about money he'd have left years ago, if he stays to win things and leave Arsenal a winner, he'll do that for £100k, or 150k, its about staying to win, not the money. He'll almost certainly leave though and I have zero problem with him doing so, deserves so much more than Arsenal can provide right now. Barca area a real possibility as I think he'd become a proper Eto'o replacement, IE 30 goals and taking pressure off Messi goals wise and his interplay is excellent, dropping deep and going wide will be fine for him.

Barca have got silly money, as do Real, they only real issue they've had in recent years is the TV companies not paying Barca they money they were owed, I honestly can't remember if they've paid up yet or not but, I'm sure the general idea was they would get the money eventually. Since then they've also turned to a shirt sponsor and if they had to, could persue that harder for a lot more money.

Ill believe it when he actually signs for us...dont know much about him other than hes pretty good for Germany, scored 43 times according to the link. Wonder if Wenger will play him out of position or play him in his natural position:p.

Him, Gotze and Hazard would be awesome signings if they happen....as of now ill hold my enthusiasm:p

EDIT: Even the Daily Fail have reported that he will sign for Arsenal in the summer...

It's just mean all the Walcott stories, its always worrying though, while my first instinct is always that its his agent trying to get the upper hand in his Arsenal contract talks. Pearce, Capello, Sven, McClown have all picked Walcott needlessly on (well all but Sven) many occassions, for all Sven's faults at least he didn't end up embarrassing himself by putting Walcott on the pitch.

Biggest problem is, there probably are rubbish managers out there who want Walcott........ but none of those guys are at clubs that can match Walcotts wages, let alone beat them so it doesn't matter.

I'd love Spurs to buy him, no chance, 70k+ a week and he's supposedly looking for 85k+ in a new contract, lol.

He'll probably demand a huge wage for ultimately very few games played.

Some players can and do "grow out" of injury proneness but, he's basically had 2-3 remotely half decent seasons in terms of numbers of games played. He's had so many awful seasons and his best 2-3 seasons are still pretty weak, at 28, being small and injury prone I can't see him growing out of it at this point.

City can buy him as just another winger who doesn't have to play every game, I can't see Chelsea pinning a new run at the title on a player who has a poor chance of playing more than half the season. Maybe if he was happy with a lower contract but, with players like him looking at 150k+ a week, I wouldn't risk it.

The wage fetish again DM? :p

My biggest problem would be his attitude, watching him at Bayern over the years he seemed to have no problem publicly disrespecting his manager or the club like when he was subbed in the Champions League, repeatedly refused to shake Van Gaal's hand when taken off, and then aggressively pushed him out of the way to clamber onto the dugout and applaud the Bayern fans.
